Interested to try the new app. Most obvious feature suggestion? Seamless integration with Apple Fitness/Health obviously!
Best AnswerHi @MarkArmstrong That isn't happened until now and I can guarantee it won't happen in the future. Fitbit and Apple have always been competitors in this market. The Ionic and the Versa 1/2/3 were all compared to the available Apple Watch series and often won out because of their long battery life. The competition is much more direct, ever since Google bought Fitbit.

Agree with @LZeeW . You can request that until the cows come home, but there isn’t really any reason for Fitbit/Google to set up a link to encourage its customers to use a competitor app! They want you to use Google Health.

Yes I see that. Seems a shame though. There were a couple of 3rd party apps that seemed to make it possible but the one I used stopped working for no apparent reason a few months ago. Not sure why that happened.

Best AnswerLiterally today there was an update to the Fitbit app (version 4.69) in preview that prompted for integration with Apple Health when I opened the app after updating. It asked for permission to read and write Apple Health data.
Aha! Thanks for that! Will investigate…
Best AnswerIt doesn’t appear to have written anything to my Apple Health data yet, but I did give it full permissions in my phone’s settings. I didn’t see an announcement for this app version yet, so maybe they’ll give a timeline for using this when they finally get around to announcing this release.
Best Answer@MarkArmstrong I just got this, too. If it works, then I stand corrected! I never ever ever ever thought I would see this day!
New customization for the top section, too.

So far it has sent nothing to Apple Health for me…so we shall see.
Thanks for the heads-up on the new today screen top section customization. I’ve been wanting them to allow us more than just the 4 metrics up top.
