Sleep and Readiness Not Showing

Is anyone else having this issue?

Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel 9 Pro Fitbit Premium with Public Preview of new app

A few days ago the app began to be slow to show data from sleep. Today, it hasn't showed up at all.

What I've done.

Cleared app cache

Restarted pixel phone

Rebooted pixel watch

Shut off Bluetooth and turned it back on

Cleared app cache again

Still no information other than I did get my daily update on the PW3. No sleep information in it either.

Typically, it comes in two or three minutes after I awaken.

Any thoughts?

Hello @o1liver11

Did you get any sleep tracking at all? You should get at least the basic sleep tracking graph: Awake, Asleep, Restless, along with sleep start and wake time.

Are you having any problems with heart rate tracking? I ask because sleep tracking uses the heart rate's optical sensors. If you don't see the green lights on the back of your Pixel Watch 3, that's the problem.

On my Versa2, every morning I get my Fitbit data, but the sleep statistics take up to 5 minutes to calculate.

What is the problem?

Hello @Kwatson20

I've noticed there are now additional sleep metrics in the Public Preview. Apparently, it's currently taking extra time for the algorithms to calculate and display the information.

For example, when I woke up this morning (06 Mar 2026) and synced my Pixel Watch 4 with the Fitbit app, my sleep was logged as a nap. Although I had a sleep score and sleep stages graph, I didn't get the usual Coach sleep evaluation. When I was checking something else in the Fitbit app, about 20-30 minutes later, I saw that my sleep had the usual Coach evaluation. So, this indicates to me that there's currently a lag in the sleep algorithm calculations.

So, why can't the app calculate the sleep information as quickly as the
rest of it.

Hello @Kwatson20

I personally don't know why the Fitbit has been taking longer to generate sleep data. So far, there hasn't been much mention about the additional time it's taking.

What you can do is use the Feedback option in the Fitbit app to leave your thoughts:

  • Tap your avatar in the upper right of the Today page in the Fitbit app
  • Tap Feedback in the menu that opens
  • Complete the prompt and submit

The feedback reports are received by the team for review. Although it's likely that you won't receive a response, I've gotten confirmation that the team reads and reviews every single feedback report.

I have a Sense2 and for the last several weeks, the fitbit sleep numbers are taking several minutes to show up.
Has something changed? Is there an update that I missed?
Are you calculating the information differently?
This is really a problem because I try to find out how well I slept each morning and now I'm having to wait on the answer.

@Kwatson20 the Public Preview is very much a work in progress and not everything is working perfectly yet. I haven't had any sleep data at all in the Public Preview for the last few weeks. I've reported it and a fix is on the way. If it's too frustrating to wait, the regular version of the Fitbit app still exists and we're free to switch back to it wherever we need to.
