I got access to the public preview app today and it seems like the cardio fitness index/vo2 max score is no longer on the heart/bpm tab. is it removed completely?

Hi @miffloe The Public Preview is a work in progress, not the final version. Fitbit announced that vO2max was released with version 4.67.
From Fitbit's What's new page. Please note that even if you have the latest app version, some features may take time to roll out to everyone. I have 4.67, but still don't see it. Some users still don't have features released in 4.66.
I moved your post to the Public Preview forum, a better fit for this topic. There is also a current status pinned thread, so you can see what is and is not available yet.

I'm also on 4.67 - which is supposed to show VO2 max (see "What's new") but I don't see it yet.
@StephanieFitbit It would be good if in the "What's new" thread you noted that just because a feature is released with a version, it doesn't mean that it will be made available to everyone yet. And maybe give an idea of how long people should expect to see that feature when they've got the right version installed.
EDIT: Sorry, scrap my suggestion - it does say at the very top of the "What's new" page: "Please note that even if you have the latest app version, some features may take time to roll out to everyone" - I just wonder how long it will take... Days, or weeks?

Hi, @pbaines, as @LZeeW mentions, the public preview is a work in progress. In addition, occasionally, some features fail to register data. Sp02 is an example. I've had data since last Sunday, but for some reason, there's nothing today, even though I wear my PW4 in bed & all day except when charging. I've uninstalled the Fitbit app, restarted my phone & reloaded the app, which sometimes works, but on this occasion there's no change. There's a hive of industry going on in the background, and I expect resolution soon. I hope this helps.
Cheers

Hello @Psychout
I'm finding that some Public Preview features will appear days after installing an app update. And sometimes, features won't appear until the next app update installs.
Please be patient. The VO2 Max tile is coming.

VO2max tile is showing but has no data in the preview. Still working fine in the 'old' view. Will there be an automatic sync between data on both views?

Hi @Karine248 Please see this Help article with the VO2 max section expanded. The way I read it, you must do new GPS runs to get a score. My score in the old view is a range, because I haven't done any recent GPS runs. Is your 'old' view a range or do you have new GPS runs? It also says that you might need to track three runs in 30 days to get a score.
UPDATE: I found another source that clarified the new vs old app. If the VO2max tile is saying Not tracked, then you must do new GPS runs. The current app version uses an equation that estimates your VO2max from things like you age, sex, weight, and resting heart rate. VO2max measured that way will not come to the new version.
