Hi Fitbit Community!
We’re excited you have joined the Public Preview for our personal health coach. This is currently available to eligible adult Fitbit Premium subscribers using the Android app in the US. The Preview lets you test new features and provide feedback for product improvement.
The Preview is, well, a preview. It’s not yet complete and doesn’t have all the features that the current Fitbit app has right now. This post will be updated regularly with a list of features that are not yet available in Preview. Check back regularly!
Features not yet available
The following features are not yet available in the Preview experience. If you want to continue to use them, you can easily switch back and forth between Preview and the standard experience.
Health tracking features
Exercise tracking features
Social and sharing features
Other features
The coach and your data
Your personal health coach can answer questions about most of the data you see in the Preview app, but not all of it. The coach will not yet provide personalized responses for the following data categories:
Additionally, the coach may not be able to answer questions about goals related to weight, body fat, running duration, and floors or answer questions about specific intervals or segments in your workouts.
Data from third party apps and devices
In Preview, you can connect to third party apps or devices using Health Connect. You’ll then be able to see that data in Fitbit and engage with your coach on it. Areas like weight, body fat, steps, distance, energy burned, and sleep use that data already.
Some data types do not support imports from Health Connect yet, including:
We plan to add support for these areas in the future.
Data in your mobile app and data on your Fitbit tracker or Pixel Watch
If you have connected a third party app or device that has the same data as your Fitbit or Pixel device, you may notice that the Preview app shows different values than your device. The Preview app is reconciling and merging data from your multiple sources to give you a more complete view of your health. Above each graph in the app, you can see relevant data sources and filter to see data for each. These capabilities are not available on your device.
