Split times are not calculated with the correct units

I am using the public preview. I am normally in the US but currently in Australia. I left the Fitbit app set to miles, but it knows from time zone that I am in Australia. When I look at my run stats,. it shows each mile I ran, and it lists split times in min/mile, but the times are what I would get from running a kilometer. For example, I run 5 miles, there are 5 individual miles listed, and if my actual time was 12:34 min/mile, the details show I ran 7:49 min/mile, which happens to be exactly the speed in min/km.

The old app correctly shows my split as 12:34 min/mile.

@schack  The Fitbit app has had a long-standing problem with confusing miles and km. It's discouraging to learn that this is happening with the Public Preview.

I'm glad you posted about this here. I hope you will also consider giving feedback in the app. If you haven't done that before, tap the "thumbs down" icon and explain what happened.

@alexthecat Is this same issue also why it uses kg instead of lb, even though my profile is set to use lb? I've been flagging those comments and feedback already, but I'm just curious if it's the same discrepancy, I guess, as km versus mi.

@amymurray122 I've never heard of this issue happening with kg versus pounds. It certainly seems possible though. If you're seeing it, definitely keep reporting it in the app!
