I am disappointed with the Versa 4 received. It doesn't have yhe music control and third party apps. Please restore these.

I've been developing personal apps on the Fitbit (and previously Pebble) for years. I followed through with the Ionic recall and purchased the Sense 2 on the assumption that I could continue this.

Very disappointed to see third party apps are not supported. I'm basically shut out of the majority of interactions and enjoyment I used to have with Fitbit. I would agree with others who say that the Sense 2 is not a smart watch but rather an expensive tracker...

I hope this is just a temporary situation and that the team can eventually support third party apps.

It is simply outrageous to REMOVE third party app support on the Sense 2 and Versa 4.

I've just unboxed my new Versa 4. I'd decided to keep it because I love the new band connection mechanism and charging connections (compared with my Versa 2). What a fabulous step forward!

But then I discover that it does not support third-party apps. I use a number of these on my Versa 2 (which is still functional).

It's looking like I need to return the Versa 4 to send a CLEAR message to Fitbit and Google that removing support for third-party apps is simply not acceptable. NOT. ACCEPTABLE!

Missing the 3rd party app barcode in ny sense 2. Had it on the Ionic and Sense. Feels like a step back

Naturally, the fact that we must rely on Amazon Alexa for voice support is laughable. The announcement that Amazon is dropping Alexa rises to the absurd. Whoever made the decision to kill the app support for their #1 new watch should be fired. They have done nothing for Google Pixel sales and tarnished the reputation of a good company.

Bye bye fitbit. Refund obtained. You have lost a long time customer.

The ironic thing is that just when I had decided to upgrade from a tracker to your top of the line (without even looking to other brands) you did this stupid choice.

And now I'm gone.

You have 45 days from the purchase, use your time wisely.

How many votes does this need to be implemented? This is a failure to accessibility for many people as well, a very non-inclusive decision from Fitbit.

@YojanaFitbit  we are expecting some response here! How many more votes are required to enable this feature which has been removed from this watch? We as a customer were never been informed beforehand by fitbit that from sense 2 and versa 4 there are no longer be 3rd party apps supported. We bought this smartwatch thinking it as an upgrade from the older sense and versa 3 so we will be already having this feature. I dont cosider it as a fair practice. Kindly reinstante all the lost features by checking with the respective teams ASAP.

Hi @Lotteogjohn, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about allowing 3rd Party Apps on Sense 2. I've moved it into a similar request. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs. Click on the thumbs-up to show your support.

This is such a disappointment, purchasing the newest versa the Versa 4 after having the first Versa for 5 years. I upgraded due to my watch not holding battery anymore and I am so upset that I cannot return the watch and I've paid so much for a watch that barely does what I want it to. This feature of third party apps really needs to be changed and put back on the watches.

Let's just keep voting and hopefully fitbit will take some actions.

A Year ago I bought a Charge 4 device.

I bought for my wife 9 months ago a Sense device and felt like mine was a simple toy compared to hers.

I was pretty happy with my charge4 but wanted to upgrade.

So now I upgrade and feel like I was a fool, because my wife can use 3rd party apps, and I cant even though Sense 2 is advertised to have hundreds of apps to choose from.

All the people that aproved this for the Sense 2 should go...

I am very dissapointed!!!

You cant answer calls, no google maps, no Spotify etc.

Why take a good product and downgrade it like that?

So frustrated my. New Sense 2 can't install 3rd party apps. Some of I had in my Versa 2 are really important to me.

Was excited to get my Versa 4 in the mail and get started customizing it. Umm....this watch is NOT a smartwatch. You can't do anything to it other than change the face. What a worthless piece of junk! I can send it back to Costco and get a Versa 2 instead, but now that I have this information, I'm tempted to abandon Fitbit altogether look at other options. I can't even fathom what idiot in charge of development made this decision. Completely insane!

I was deciding to buy the Sense 2, but it doesn't seem to support the Metronome app. I think Fitbit has decided to regress its new series. The future doesn't seem bright.

Beware, Fitbit Sense 2 is also without music and third-party apps, if I recall correctly. Check other posts in this forum before ordering!!

This is correct. Or you could buy a watch and return it to get your point across.

Yes, enough complaints about this issue with Sense 2 also.--

My mother’s Versa 3 was finally getting to a point where it wasn’t holding a charge as well, and not tracking her sleep properly anymore. So I decided I would upgrade her watch, and buy myself a new one, since I sold my old one at some point when in need of spare cash. The fact that the Versa 4 doesn’t support 3rd party apps or music control is beyond a disappointment.

Luckily I purchased these in a window where Best Buy is giving me until mid January to return them. I’ll be giving Fitbit until January 7th to at least make some kind of announcement about updating to include these features that the older watches have, or I’ll have to return them and change brands. At this point, it’s just a fancy pedometer/heart rate tracker that tells me when I get a text or an email.

Part of the reason my mother loved her Versa 3 so much was being able to respond to messages without taking out her phone, using the Starbucks app so she didn’t have to dig her phone out in line/the drive thru (sounds lazy, but she has joint mobility issues), tracking her sleep/heart rate to help monitor her ever declining health, being able to control music from her phone while doing housework, and SO MANY other things that she just simply CANNOT do with this watch.

It’s insane. A newer generation of something like a smartwatch is really supposed to be an upgrade, or at least a lateral movement with updated hardware. This “upgrade” does less than my old Versa 2 ever did fresh out of the box.

Just bought the versa 4, and was extremely disappointed in the removed features.   I had seen the versa 3, and expected this to have everything it had and more.    I will be returning this.    Too bad.

A $300 smart watch should have this and also 3rd party apps. My Fitbit Versa 2 had many nice 3rd party apps.
