Ability To Edit Manually Logged Exercise Type

I'm not sure what has changed, but it seems that I am no longer able to Edit Activities.  This seems like a huge inconvenience.  Sometimes having to enter actvities can be annoying, but it's helpful to have that feature.  What is annoying is that if I make a mistake, I am unable to correct it without having to delete and restart.  I bought this Fitbit to make tracking my exercise easier, not more difficult.  I am trying to find reasons to continue using it, but making tracking harder is not helping.  Please fix!  Thanks so much!

I couldn't agree with you all more. If you have mislabeled or misspelled something, you are stuck. Since the title is already editable, it should be easy to allow the pencil icon to reappear so you may edit the label a second time. Please fix this.

From time to time I forget to stop my timer and have multiple errors in my workout log. This should be an easy fix - let us have it!!

1) I would like to be able to edit manually input items.  It seems I always have the date wrong & have to go back and delete and then re-enter.

2) I would like to be able to edit the activity log entries stored by my flex.  Yes, i realize it appears to already allow this action, but the editing is too limited.  The most productive use for activity logs entries from the flex is as a placeholder for activities to be filled in later when the user has access to the web.  Case in point, when I go biking, I set an activity log with my flex.  When I get home,I would like to be able to just edit that entry into a bike entry (or a skiing entry, or kayaking, or x-c skiing, or snow-shoeing, etc.), because the time and date are correct, and those are the two things I mess up the most!  However, the system does not allow for such flexibility.   So I delete the aitomatic entry, enter the activity manually, review it to find that the date is wrong, or I have messed up am or pm again.  Then I delete and re-enter (see 1 above).  Please consider these two minor changes.

Thanks much!

I'm loving my HR but as I use it more there are a couple of things that are quite frustrating about the way in which activities are managed through the web interface.

1. At the moment you are able to edit an activity name but nothing else about the activity although the options appear to be there.  A couple of times I have forgotten to click the button on the side of the HR to indicate that I have completed the activity so want to be able to adjust the finish time of length of the activity to account for this. This feature would really help.

2. This ties in with above but appreciate is more complex. This morning I forgot to start recording my cardio seesion at the gym and by the time I remembered it was too late. Not to worry, I'll add the session manually when I get home I thought. However, although I can add the activity manually, I expected this to then interpret the data from the HR so that steps, distance, kilocalories, heart rate etc would all be incorporated into the activity. This doesn't happen and I'm left with an activity that shows nothing and doesn't even allow me to add any data manually.

The HR is great but there is some work required around the management of activities through the dashboard to make this aspect as good as the device.

Thanks

This would be great! I am constantly forgetting to end the workout and it throws everything off.

I experience logging errors when GPS first aquires a signal or if the app crashes leading to impossibly fast exercise routines. I would like to correct those. Fast walkerGPS lag

Please. PLEASE, allow me to edit times on my workout! I'm so forgetful and constantly leave my timer on, even after I'm done working out! Sitting around for 30 minutes after walking for 30 minutes is definitely going to skew my heartrate and calories burned! PLEASE FIX THIS!!

Sometimes I might forget to start a workout until part way through my exercise, and other times I may forget to end it. I would like the ability to use the iOS app to adjust the workout start and end times, like you can for sleep. My current workaround is to delete the entry then manually enter it, which is not ideal. Thanks.

I can't edit times or anthing on the web interface - it allows me in to the edit area, change it, save it - but doesn't show on screen at all.  It's really annoying!  How can this function not work?!  What's the point?!

having only 3 catagories (run, walk, hike) on the phone app is annoying. We need to be able to add catagories and edit our entries. especally for those of us that cannot do some of these.

I would be great if we could edit the length of a workout. Today I forgot to end my workout and instead of having my heartrate, etc calculated over 50 minutes it has been calculated over 220 minutes.  Please fix this.

I find that I usually remember to turn the excercise mode on, but routinely forget to turn it off. We should be able to look a the logged excercise and change the end time. (on charge hr)

I would also like to be able to see todays workout or activitie in the recent activiteis list.

Please add this feature to the Android sofware and online web capabilities. I often forget to turn off this feature and end up logging hours of exercise over whet I really did.

Please vote for this feature.

Yeah I agree with everyone this should be brought back because ther are so many times that this can go wrong and it would make it easier to use if you could edit and have the right info

I agree that this being able to correct a misselected exercise category is important.

I agree. On a number of occasions, I forgot to stop the "activity" on my Charge HR. When I finally realized 6 hours later that the timer is still running, it throws off the charts and graphs. It would be very nice to be able to edit the end time for an activity.

Hopefully Fitbit will hear our call and do the right thing because other than that I really enjoy being able to record my activities and such

It is incredibly frustrating to not be able to edit execise that I've logged.  If I make any mistakes, the only option is to delete the workout and start over again.  Having this feature seems like a no--brainer.  I hope that they bring it back soon.

I agree no brainer

Today I accidentally left my exercise tracker on hike while I went for a run and there is no way to rename or change the activity to run after the fact. This isn't the first time I've made this mistake and it's annoying to not be able to go back and edit the workout type. I've searched around and plenty of others have made the same mistake and have not been able to find a solution to it.

Please allow us to edit activity types if we accidentally select the wrong one. Thanks.

When you guys get around to adding an Edit activity function (soon, right?!), please change the AM/PM selector on the Add/Edit activity to a toggle/radio since it's goofy (as in frustrating for users) to use a drop-down for a two option control.

Add my vote to this!

So frustrating to have my data relating to the wrong activity due to a misplaced finger - even a confirmation step when allocting the activity type on my app would help till a full fix could be coded.

+1!  I've done it before, but just did it again this morning!  I accidentially chose bike, and thought it was hike, so I just logged the slowest bike ride ever.

I agree. I have done this several times as well. Having the ability to change your exercise type is a MUST have.
