Ability to customize the stats/apps on Inspire series

There are several functions that I do not need or want and there is currently no way to turn them off. I would normally just ignore them but my FitBit has this annoying habit of just randomly switching to something it thinks I want, when I have done nothing. It's as bad as driving a car and when you stop at a light, the car decides you want to park so it opens the door for you. I want to control my screen, what it shows, and when it shows it. Currently I can do none of this.

The thread is a couple of months old. I just purchased my Inspire HR and I also do not want all the stats available... I just want to see what interest me on the phone and the rest on the app.

The Alta HR I previously had was so much better on the practicality, unfortunately I've lost it.

I'm happy to see the new app on Inspire, but I would love to see just the stats I'm interested in.

I expect an upgrade soon..

I’d love to see either an editable screen or an option that includes time, date, and steps all on the same screen.

Ditto. Please get this done soon - it makes no sense to have to scroll down seven levels to access the shortest time frame bit of data.

Fitbit! Give the Inspire HR the same display flexibility the Alta HR has! Just do it! De contenting your products is no way to keep customers happy. People have been asking for months!

I just got an inspire hr and I really like it except for one thing. I hate that my watch face shows my weight and when i’m going to start my period. I dont understand why those icons aren’t customizable. you should be able to choose what goes on it

I was surprised that this feature wasn't available, because my Charge 2 that I bought over 2 years ago had several options for watch faces (including one that displayed 2 stats at a time) and allowed me to change the order of the stats displayed. I check my Fitbit frequently throughout the day, and the inconvenience of not being able to see things at a glance honestly has me debating whether to return the Inspire HR and go back to my old Charge 2.

PleAse allow the option to remove the weight icon from the inspire hr. I do not want that on there and I hate that you are focusing me to keep it.

Ugh - I feel like I was misled.  My Alta stopped working after about 18 months, and the customer support person said that the Inspire was the new Alta and would have all the same features.  I looked at the comparison chart of the two and didn't see anything warning me that the Inspire would not have the option to customize display.  Now, this basically is like a watch for me, as the rest of the text on the display is too small to read, and puts out information I don't really care about.  Very disappointing.  Please make the display options customizable.

I totally agree! Just got my Inspire hr and am not happy that I can’t customize the screens like I am able to with my Alta hr. Weight, calories, water, etc are useless to me, and it’s cumbersome to have to scroll through it all just to see the stats that I find useful. Please listen to your customers and let us customize our screens as we’ve become accustomed to doing with our previous Fitbits!

Can we get an official answer on whether the requested features - specifically the ability to modify what is displayed on the device screen, as was present in the Alta and Alta HR - are in development? I just upgraded from the Alta HR, which I had for about a year, and am already extremely irritated by the amount of scrolling and messing around I have to do. I want a few, specific, things viewable on the wristband and nothing else. It's absurd I cannot remove the information and apps that I do not want, and makes the device difficult to use. I am seriously considering returning the Inspire and going back to an Alta HR. This is a major software flaw and one that does not appear to have gained any traction in the four months since it was first raised on this forum.

Please let us remove/rearrange.I was hoping this would have been in the update, but no luck.

I have low vision and would love the option to make the display of miles and steps larger.

My battery life is 2 days at the most and I feel like the stopwatch feature which seems to get turned on by mistake is to blame. I too would like to control which features are activated on my Inspire HR.

@SECC for now the best thing you should do is turn off any of the autodetect exercise that a user does not do.

Just upgraded to the Inspire HR from an old original Fitbit. I chose this model for the heart rate and clip potential. I also have a serious medical condition and would like to customize the clock face to show just the clock and HR.

Could the Moderators please respond to whether or not Fitbit is considering allowing more customizability as their other devices?

Even just turning on and off different features?

Thank you!

This definitely needs to happen.  Who wants to look at their weight on their wrist all day?  We should be able to hide extraneous information.  I don't need my watch to remind me to drink my water; I understand that others might.  That's why customizable is the way to go.

Yes, yes, yes! Please consider this option for the next update. Scrolling through so many choices that aren't necessarily important to every one of us is a colossal time-waster when one is out exercising and just wants to get the needed info and be done.

I was so hoping this would show up in the most current firmware update, but I don't see that it does. I do see the new "cute" clock faces, but not where the content of the band can be altered.

I agree with @Ata1anta
I was excited when I saw there was an update for the Inspire. While I am glad that the menstrual information is no longer on the watch, I'd still like to be able to customize the screens I see on the watch. Fitbit, can we please have this fixed?

User should be able to reorganize the apps on the Inspire tracker.  For example, I like to see how many steps I have left to hit my hourly goal, but it's the last app on the screen and I have to scroll to see it constantly.  I want to reorganize so it's closer to the main clock face app.

i wish we could change what is deplaned on the alta hr and if we could add reminders to drink water( just like the reminder to move one)

Hi @sball15! That’s an interesting idea and could be useful for a lot of users, thanks for sharing it. I've moved it into a similar suggestion, as the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

So....you're monitoring these comments enough to move them to different
threads, but not to respond on the thread with hundreds of people all
asking for this feature?

Issues I have with the Inspire HR that relate to this:

  • You can't reorder or remove menu items on the app, so if you like seeing how many steps you've gotten in an hour, you have to scroll through 7 screens on the device to get to it

  • Sometimes scrolling through the screen resets randomly so you have to scroll even more times to get to certain things (usually notice this when I'm in motion)

  • The screen turns off really fast, sometimes even when you're in the middle of starting a workout if you're trying to connect the phone GPS

  • Clock faces don't have enough variety to show various stats that I'd like to see at a glance, and I wish I could configure my own with what I want to see on it

I really just wish FitBit would enable more options for flexibility (like being able to reorder menu items, changing the screen timer, and personalizing clock faces).
