Ability to edit the Ovulation date

Think it would be nice to update when I ovulate (especially if I use at home ovulation prediction kits) rather than using the apps predicted ovulation day.

Hi @Krissyz, thanks for sharing your suggestion. I think that other users that might be using a different prediction kit will like your idea. Let's see what they think!

Hello. I think it would be great to be able to change the ovulation date. My current tracker says my ovulation date was June 7th but I know for a fact that I ovulated on June 5th this month. If I was able to edit that, my period/ovulation predictions would be much more accurate.

Yes please! I ovulate days 10-14.  I would need to be able to edit ovulation day for the female health tracking to be useful to me.  In fact, being able to enter your typical luteal phase length is the key to getting this right, as that's the part of your cycle that tends not to vary too much.

I would like to be able to change the ovulation day too; in fact the app's current settings on predicting ovulation might be accurate for many women but definitely not for me. Moreover, my luteal phase length is variable, contrary to many women, so the fertility prediction is all wrong now. Right now I can only use the female health tracking to predict my next period and I have to completely disregard any information about ovulation and fertility.

I suffer from mittelschmerz, also known as ovulation pain. Every month I get an excruciating pain for one day and it lets me know that I am ovulating. It would be awesome to have a feature where I can edit the ovulation day that it estimates for me. This way I can get a more accurate fertility window and a way better estimate of when I will have the pain each month.

This could be a sort of "hidden" feature. Maybe it could go under some category called "advanced settings" or something so that the average women using the period tracker doesn't need to worry about messing with it, but for people like me who suffer from this can get way better estimates of pain and fertility windows.

Thanks!!

I would also like to be able to edit the ovulation day. I suffer cramps on this day so am aware of exactly when it occurs. Would be good to track and see if there is a pattern.

I think it would be great to have the ability to adjust my ovulation day manually. I take an ovulation test so I know when I am ovulating precisely.

I think I misunderstood the extent of the female health add-on. I was under the impression it would be able to know when I ovulated per my RHR. I know that I ovulated per my RHR, Basal body temp, and an ovulation predictor strip. It would be nice to at least have the option to adjust my ovulation day due to my irregular cycles.

I love the new period tracker. However, I’m trying for a baby and it would be so helpful to include the ability to track your bbt and the results of ovulation tests, and adjust the predicted ovulation accordingly. Would mean only needing one app in stead of two.

Many women would like to insert their ovulation manually and get a better tracking system down! Please insert this and hire some fertility specialist to help predict future ovulations for women who manually input their ovulation! Thank you fit bit!!

I just found out that Fitbit had this Female tracking and the first thing I tried to do was change the ovulation date and it wont let me! Please fix this! Another good one would be BBT chart. I use that feature every day in my other fertility app. If you added other sub categories to better track female cycles I'd probably solely use this app for my tracking needs. This could be like the Ava bracelet but better! When I started tracking my cycles to get pregnant I did some research on the Ava bracelet and I thought Fitbit should do something like this! I already have a Fitbit so, I didn't need ANOTHER bracelet. OH and I was NOT about to drop $300 on Ava when the Fitbit is so much better and does way more! Plus, looks better! I'm anxious about the future of the Female Cycle tracking feature!

It would be great to adjust your own ovulation dates. I love that Fitbit has this female tracking calendar! Also it would be nice to have the option to write your own details under the log details for each day. I like all of the options you have but in addition to that it would be nice if I could write like 30 characters worth of my own details.

Hello,

I use the women's health feature on my Fitbit charge, but I'm having a few function issues. The first is that while I can move my period date, I cannot move my ovulation date. If you track that in a separate app using basal budd temperature or other measures, yours is often off. I'd love to be able to edit that for accuracy. The other issue is you allow tracking the fertile window and your period, but there is no way to tell the app you are pregnant. It doesn't have to do a ton, but it would be nice to have that option.

Thanks!

I just noticed that can’t be edited today. My ovaries are screaming today which means it is OD day for me never could tell before my tubal but now it’s impossible to miss and extremely painful. According to the app I’m 3 days too early. I use Fitbit to track everything.

I was extremely surprised when I realized I couldn't edit my ovulation day.  I figured out how to slide the circles on the calendar to adjust the dates of my period, so I just assumed I would be able to use the same method to edit my ovulation day.  I kept trying and trying, getting really frustrated when I couldn't make the adjustment.  I got my husband to help because I kept thinking I was doing something wrong.  Finally I learned through a community board that the ovulation date and fertility window cannot be adjusted.  That makes no sense to me.  If you can edit the period dates, why in the world wouldn't you be able to edit the ovulation date?  I have had Mittelschmerz (ovulation pain) since I was a teenager.  I'm 43 now, and I've had the 24 hour pain every month without fail.  I know if I'm ovulating from my right or left ovary, and I know the exact day.  My fitbit's estimation of when I will ovulate is two days late.  I really think it's a huge oversight to not allow women to adjust their ovulation date.

It would be great if we could edit the ovulation date on the female tracker. If you are actually TTC the app is not helpful because the predictions are off. I use ovulation sticks and basal temperate to know my ovulation date and it is always wrong on the app and I can’t change it. It would get great if I could so I don’t have to use a different app to accurately track my cycle and fertile window.

For the female health portion of the app, it would be great if a person could edit their ovulation as well for more accuracy - a lot of women use NFP and would benefit, especially when first using the feature, from being able to make these edits. It would also help Fitbit figure things out better if you could add pregnancies so that it’s not using the 9+months of no period in its average calculations.

Please add the feature to be able to adjust the day women begin fertility. We can already adjust menstrual cycle, but not fertility day. This could greatly help woman with Endometriosis and other fertility needs. Many Doctors could benefit from us being able to have quick access to a proper fertility tracking. They can better see out true hormone fluctuations and better evaluate our treatment plans.
