Ability to rearrange/reorder Charge 6 apps

Different users have different needs and ways of using their fitbit.
The ability to customise the order of the apps would cater to this.
"Always use the timer and exercises? Swipe left for timer, right for exercise".
"Mostly checking notifications and setting alarms for the next day? Left for alarms, right for notifications".
And then the rest.

  • Please let us be able to reorder the apps. The default order does not cater to most of your users. Swiping right takes you to ECG. Swiping left takes you to notifications. Here's my thoughts... How many of your users use this product primarily to detect abnormal heart rhythms? How many users use this to recieve notifications? I use this watch, specifically fitbit and this model (over samsung watch, whoop, aura), for fitness and recovery reasons. I want to track my workout, please make it as fast and easy to access as possible.

Yes yes yes! I hate the current order of the apps. I use the timer a lot for my job and I think it's the 4th app over. I end up accidently starting exercises or asked to set up an alarm and it's so frustrating.  Plus I don't want to use Google pay on my fitbit and would rather have my notifications be the double press like it was on previous fitbit watches.

I would enjoy the Charge 6 so much more if we could rearrange or even get rid of apps we don't or rarely use.

Yeah it's crazy this isn't built in and east. The default order sucks.

I meant Easy*. It would also be cool to edit comments in this forum. Another basic thing that should exist.

The current ordering is impractical and you should allow custom ordering to gain much more utility

I second this. I just got a charge 6, and the main things I wanted to for were the smart alarm and an accessible timer to manage my severe adhd symptoms, both of which are self-curated accommodations for my autism spectrum disorder. I wanna be able to access those apps as quickly as possible!!

thank you,

Absolutely should be a basic feature.. coming from a nearly decade old device (Gear Fit2) to this Charge 6 has been a truly eye-opening experience with how much worse it is in almost every way in terms of functionality. If only I could have jammed the new sensors and connectivity from this into that it would have been perfect.

I just got my first Fitbit Charge 6 this week, and this is my first complaint. The fact that the first app is notifications makes no sense to me. As a fitness tracker I would want exercise to be top billing, and I would EXPECT as the user to make this adjustment on my end.

Please allow users to change the order of screens. This is a big oversight in my opinion.

Agree with the topic starter. Overall impression is the excellent sensors with crippled UI. Add app customization, add media controls. Mustn't be such a complicated feature to add

I use my charge 6 primarily as a disability support for short working memory… which means I need the timer to be quickly available… the current layout is almost unusable for me as it’s 3swipes I'm either directions and I almost always end up entering a sub-menu with a misplaced gesture.

i would not recommend the charge 6 based on the lack of this basic (and easy to implement) customisation…

my choices are either to offload 4 other  apps or suffer through…

this should not be a problem for a digital device. It was possible on the charge 4… and I’d take the grayscale screen and flexibility over this situation any day.

Seems pretty fixable!

I agree. Selecting and customizing the order of the apps should be a basic feature. Not being able to do that on the Charge 6 is very disappointing. This should be easily resolved with a software update. Are you listening Google???

Yes please! I was disappointed when the Charge 6 didn't come with this feature... makes me want to switch to a smartwatch that offers more customization 😕

People complained about this with Charge 5. I've been really happy with the Charge series so far, but the lack of this feature was really infuriating.

I'm now looking for new tracker. Seeing that this basic feature isn't included for Charge 6, I will not be even considering it.

Shame...

Read that we could change order. Press and hold is supposed to enlarge the app icon, allowing to drag to desired location. Sounds great! Doesn't work. Can't change the order and as many others have pointed out, seems a basic feature to be able to do so.

Any update on this capability? It’s been asked for since I had my last charge. I will likely change to garmin or Apple Watch if there is not this ability to rearrange apps and a couple other basic capabilities (ie a timer that is more than 1 hour!!).

I've been using fitbits for as long as I can remember, and thought the charge 6 would be a good choice, wow was I ever wrong.

I don't know how, but every generation has been worse, the versa for example, worked great water not a problem, versa 3, don't get this thing too wet.
And the Bluetooth, omg it worked great, then that got messed up so bad I've gone weeks without sync'd data on my versa 3.

The fact that the charge 6 is half the width, yet fails to work with that, is just mind blowing.
It's 2025 and this watch has less usefulness than a cheap casio.

Fortunately, it's the last fitbit I'll ever own.

Whether it's done from the app or the device, not being able to rearrange apps on a smart device feels wrong and backwards. I love the device so far but it's odd that its missing something that seems so basic
