Ability to switch from built GPS to connected GPS on Charge 4

Charge 4 comes with an inbuilt GPS and I see my Charge 4 battery drains out quickly. Sometimes, I carry my phone during my workout and I would like to connect to my phone GPS in order to save battery.

Please add the option of selecting inbuilt GPS and connected GPS.

This is my first experience with a device as such and spend a lot of time out of normal areas with constant GPS data.  I was disapointed with the less than ideal battery life with the GPS enabled on my hikes.(less than 4 hours).

  I would love it if the Dynamic GPS was an option and could be turned on and off.

I just got a firmware update on my Charge 4 tonight and Dynamic GPS is now an included feature!

I know have several GPS options in the settings menu on the watch:

GPS Mode: (Phone, Dynamic, Built-in)

GLONAS: On/Off

GPS Low Power Mode: On/Off

The update is there! Status mentioned here is "under consideration " still.. what does that tell us about this forum and moderation?

You can choose between built-in GPS and phone GPS to track your workouts, or even choose Dynamic GPS or GLONASS mode on your Charge 4 to preserver its battery life or enhance GPS performance. @LizzyFitbit, thank you for the news. I updated my Charge 4 and I must say it's working GREAT! I used the connected GPS the whole day with my OnePlus, riding my bicycle, and it has a very high precision: much higher than other apps I was using to track activity.

Speed, map, altitude, cardio... You did a great job. Congrats.
