Able to create a custom meal and indicate number of servings

I would really like to be able to build a recipie and then indicate how many servings it makes and how much I ate and see nutritional break down by servings too.  I think it would way easier than trying to enter all ingredients then when its time to eat the leftovers I can just add the recipie serving.

I only stay subscribed to this thread so once a year I can be reminded Fitbit only cares about selling watches and isn’t going to actually do anything.

I for one really appreciated the cronometer recommendation seeing as fitbit
hasn't done jack about this since 2024 and obviously doesnt care at all.

If an App that is free can calculate calories per portion…. it surely
cannot be expensive nor complicated to make the adjustment.
Every time I hear some new feature has being added to Fitbit Premium I
literally roll my eyes!!!
This request is not only old; it’s basic. I’m just not over awed by Fitbit
right now.

Yeah… I am waiting on the sidelines unwilling to purchase Fitbit Sense.
Seriously considering moving away from Fitbit universe after living in it
for over a decade!

In my calorie tracking journey, I often meal prep and measure out equal amounts of ingredients for several meals that I will eat. I would really a feature that I could create a custom meal, where I could individually enter each ingredient with their measurements, like I currently do in the fitbit app, but under a function like "create a meal" which would essentially work as a way to save all of those ingredients and measurements together and allow me to select this meal from my recently tracked foods. This would be a lot easier to track prepped meals with lots of veggies and other ingredients so that I could still track the nutritional value that Fitbit already knows. The create a custom food function kind of works for this, bit it doesn't track the nutritional values or the macros if you don't have that info memorized that you can enter yourself. Basically, I'm just wanting a way to repeat an entire meal with each individual ingredient entered once, instead of having to enter it for every meal. Another idea to expand that would be having each ingredient listed for the meal and allowing you to change the measurements for each ingredient after you click the custom meal you have entered.

I hope this makes sense. It seems like an easy idea to me, but I have probably over explained it and made it more confusing than it needed to be.

When you log a recipe, you should be able to say that you are 1 portion of the recipe instead of the whole recipe being added as your meal.

It would be nice to share custom food macros for when my husband or I cook so it's easier to track throughout the week. We batch cook on Sundays and just having one of us type everything in would be awesome.

Yes, Lose it has a feature where you enter the recipe and how many servings it makes. You can build it once then choose it like any other food item and indicate the number of servings consumed. I’d like this feature on Fitbit

thanks

I would like to be able to enter a recipe - enter each ingredient with quantity and end up with grand total of calories and nutrients for the whole recipe. Then when I log the recipe, I want to be able select a portion size, like 1/4 of recipe or 1/8 of recipe. Is there anyway to do this, or is it being worked on. I make a lot of my own foods from

Thank you Fitbit Moderators for consistently - since 2013 at least -
repeatedly combining our requests to update the app to add serving size to
the meal options. We have voted. And we've commented. And we've voted
and we've commented some more. Please just stop combining and telling us
that when this feature becomes popular enough you'll think about it.
Possibly. Clearly, you never will. It just adds insult to injury.

I deleted my other food tracking app and have been using Fitbit for a couple weeks now.

I'm shocked that there is no servings divider when inputting a meal.

This makes no sense. Who makes "Meals" or 1 serving?

I hope this can be resolved with the next update.

Get the Macrofactor app. It’s 1000x better than this busted Fitbit interface.

What??? Thus idea was proposed 8 years ago and it's still not implemented?... I am shocked...

I do like FitBit since it allows very accurately measure calories burned during a day. But... It also need to allow to track very accurately the intake of calories. People do not eat only processed packaged foods. I like to do meal prep on the weekend. It helps with quick calculations later. If I have 10-15 ingredients for my meal and I need to add 150 grams of it to my lunch, how do it with FitBit?.. No-how for now, which is very sad...

I use cronometer. It's still only an app (so take it with a grain off salt!
😉) but it let's you do this in the recipe function. I also fix all my own
meals, so it's handy. The app let's you synch to Fitbit as well, which is
nice. I usually have my laptop open when I cook and log my ingredients in
their website as I add them.

Currently you have to login to the desktop version to both create and add a meal. I didn't even know until today I could create meals since it is not included in the app. There shouldn't be a need to login to a website daily to update data on our app.

Just following up that I think there was a lag in my app, and I can see that I can now log meals I've created in desktop from my app, but I still would like to be able to create the meals within the app as well, thank you!

Yes, I've been wanting this too. It can be a pain having to re-enter every ingredient for meals you make regularly or batch cooking, especially if you are counting macros. Another idea is it would be useful to copy an entire meal e.g. breakfast or lunch from a previous day.

I think it would be handy to be able to add multiple foods to form a food, at the moment you search each item at once and they're all listed separately.
What if we had the option to make a sandwich, say add the bread, add cheese, add ham etc and it be labelled as a whole item?
