now its set up so that when i scroll right I get notifications and when i scroll left I get EDA scan, there should be the possibility to change the order in which they show up.

Hi @charleskn, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about being able to rearrange the apps on your Charge 5 with us. I noticed a similar idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestion board, so I’ve moved your post here. Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.
It's very annoying to not be able to remove the notifications or Fitbit pay apps, but those are some of the first things I have to swipe past. Not to mention that the DND and other display settings are something rarely used.
So we an uninstall the Find my phone, SpO2, ECG and EDA apps but not the notifications or Fitbit pay apps?? I don't understand why we can take away apps that are useful and not take away ones that aren't.
My issues with my Charge 5 (reorder, or remove apps) just all vanished! 😎
Then again, it will not boot beyond the Fitbit logo and has a permanent black screen, as do many Charge 5 watches according to a quick internet search. So I guess I can toss it in the bin now. Great.
I luckily still have my Charge 4, which has a really **ahem**ty display, but at least it works.
Any recommendations for competing fitness trackers? Fitbit is clearly failing in hardware, software and support.
I see that this issue has been going on for over a year. I got my charge 5 today and love it aside from the fact that I can’t move the apps around or change the period thing. Really considering taking it back to the shop now
The moderators have been ignoring this for a complete year even when every week is someone posting here. You should really consider that this will never be heard
It's interesting because it tells so much about Fitbit as a company.
This is an easy fix. They even had the feature to remove or move around the fields in a previous version.
Instead they completely ignore their users even though this is an irritation that pops up just about e-ve-ry time you're doing anything on the watch.
OK, let's say it's not an easy fix anymore. Then explain it in detail why this isn't as easy to do (anymore). But at least listen and address the concern.
Instead of having a sure buyer of new products from Fitbit I'm now reluctant to buy another product for them. That's just a shame!
I've seen the admin ( @LizzyFitbit ) continue to moderate the message board (e.g. merging other threads requesting this same thing) but I'm not aware of any action beyond the original act of marking as reviewed, which is vague and incomplete in its own right, given ~11.5 months have passed.
It doesn't even say "under consideration" or "not planned" etc.
I legit can't believe they took away a simple feature which existed in previous models. How and why was this deemed unnecessary?! The developer/designer who came up with this stupid idea needs to be sent to UX school.
Too many stats and functions ruined the Fitbit Charge 5. Long time user, my first Fitbits were the Flex, they showed steps using four dots, nothing more.
I moved up over the years to an Alta and then a Charge 3, each one an improvement over the last.
Steps have always been my main goal, I want to see those steps, the Charge 5 makes this nearly impossible with the clock faces available, none of which show the number of steps on the main screen so that I can see these without tapping or scrolling to get to a new screen.
It's obvious from all the comments requesting new faces that customers are unhappy. WHY isn't Fitbit offering an update with new, simple, user definable faces to make it easier to use?
PS: my eyesight is poor and I'm not able to use all of my limbs well, shame on all of you for not addressing this and just letting customers complain without solutions being provided. Shame on you.
Hi @DiscoDuck, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about being able to customize the apps on Charge 5. Because this idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestion board, I’ve moved your post here. Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.
I've been using Fitbit models for years now, I really like the style, simplicity and reliability of these products. However, since I got the Charge 5 half a year ago, I've been seriously considering to change the brand - exactly for the simple reason of not being able to change/remove apps from my screen. At first I thought I'll get used to the new system, but no... The forced apps have been bothering constantly, as they're just a waste of my time (I've never used the notifications, alarms etc features and I really don't feel like scrolling through them).
So the next time I'm planning to get a new model, I'll read up on this specific issue beforehand. If the app customization feature doesn't get re-introduced, then I'm probably going to move away from Fitbit 😕
heymanki - completely agrees. This is something that also will make me rethink ever buying a Fitbit watch again. Absolutely no interest in user feedback and fatal errors that sooooooooo easy could be avoided.
