now its set up so that when i scroll right I get notifications and when i scroll left I get EDA scan, there should be the possibility to change the order in which they show up.
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject and updated label
There is numerous content under different headings requesting this or related changes and improvements. If added together the numbers requesting and commenting would run into thousands.
I have got through to FitBit through the Twitter media and got some DM going. Then when they couldn't provide a suitable answer they shut the conversation down. Offered professional contact to discuss the issues.
As many say it's simple - Google owns FITBIT, they don't care about the fitness side or health side, they just want to load with gizmos like a smartphone. I just want to track health and fitness. Not interested in notifications, I have other far more useable tools for that.
So the Moderator has reviewed? What now - I know 'Not planned at this time.
Listen to your customer's Fitbit, because a the end of the day we will move to the competitors and there are plenty out there.
Just thought I'd add my voice to this. Being able to customize all the screens accessible via the different swipes I'd say would be super helpful, especially in a device with such a minimal UI.
If not that, the fact that the exercise tab is after the notifications tab is a huge design blunder in my opinion.
It is supposed to be a fitness tracker, and it should at least by default encourage its users to disconnect from their notifications addiction. Again, that's where the customization feature would come in handy: for those who really need the notifications to be their first thing, they should be free to set it so.
A big *yes* to the ability to customize app order, and especially to demote Notifications.
And when you think about it, for those of us who don't allow notifications to be sent to the Fitbit app, the Notifications screen should not even be present.
Yes give us the ability to put apps in the order we wish to see them. This seemed to be the same as being able to change the order of exercise options that is available.
I would absolutely love for the order to be customizable. My main draw to fitbit vs apple watch was that I didn't want a mini iPhone on my wrist, I wanted this to be solely for my health tracking. However, the first thing I scroll to is Notifications and I really wish the order can be changed, because I always forget to log my exercise and start it when I start! I end up remembering 10 minutes in and I wish the exercise shortcut could be first so I never forget to log properly. In addition, I'd love it if we could add water intake on wrist too.
The lack of ability for users to personalize the function of the device by setting their own custom order of apps to best serve their needs is a gross oversight.
Why can’t I delete or move the Notifications app?! So frustrating. I will never use that feature. Many similar posts going back months…what’s up FitBit? I’m shocked at the lack of action. Please address.
At what point will the status change? This was submitted over 5 months ago and is merely marked as "reviewed". This feature was requested over 2,400 times for the prior generations and hundreds of times again for the Charge 5.
Definitely need the option to change the app list configuration to suit personal wants and needs! I would love to be able to change the list and remove some that I don’t use at all. Seems silly this wasn’t added as an option to begin with. Please change in next app update if possible! 🙏🏻😊
On Charge 2 you could remove features and rearrange the options presented on the watch from the app. Now Charge 5 has a touchscreen but less options to customize. My suggest is to re-enable basic customization, why was it ever scraped to begin with? Will try to return watch or sell it if I can't find a fix this week
I agree with this. I don't want to see things like the pay and notifications as I never use either of them. I'd rather I can remove them and please add the mindful sessions (x out of x) and water intake onto the apps so they can be viewed from the device.
Hi @jesse12521, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about being able to rearrange the apps on your Charge 5 with us. Because a similar idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestion board, I’ve moved your post here. Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.
I can’t believe this still isn’t fixed. FitBit makes *fitness trackers* – so why are you forcing everyone to swipe past “Notifications” every time we want to use the primary function of the device – to track our fitness!?! And not being able to customize the order or remove apps in order to fix this problem ourselves – which was possible on previous trackers – is …frustrating to say the least. Just fix it already!!
When will this move to “under consideration”? It’s been months since this was brought up and this feature (or lack of the feature) is different than any other Fitbit I’ve ever owned.
I was pretty surprised this wasn't possible, as it's pretty annoying that you can't start a workout without scrolling through all kinds of apps that I don't use. I thought my Fitbit was a fitness tracker with extra options, but it's now a bunch of options and a hidden fitness tracker.
on the charge 5, when swiping up, the payments option is the first app. I'm using apple pay already so do not need this functionality and want to remove it as an option so I can swipe to dnd/sleep mode faster. Even better if all of the swipes were customizable.
