Able to manually log mindfulness sessions in Mindfulness tile

To be able to manually log mindfullness sessions, just like you can manually log a walk, or other exercises. I like the ‘time’ and ‘reflection’ aspects of it and how it appears in the ‘my journey’ section. If I was able to manually log it, I could listen to other apps, or no apps at all, but still log it in the mindfullness section.

This has been ongoing. Requests from premium users are completely ignored
by Fitbit . Very disappointing. ☹️

This should be a very simple to add feature, requested by hundreds of people on a regular basis. I meditate in silent regularly, and I'd like to track my sessions. It's not that hard of a request from the people who support your company, who pay your staff, and keep your lights on. I'm cancelling premium until the feature gets added.

I got a Pixel 9 Pro XL and a Pixel watch 3. I got the watch primarily to track my meditation sessions, for which I do not need any guidance. There's no option for this and further, if I log a meditation session manually, it counts towards exercise instead of mindfulness which makes no sense at all.

Not like fitbit cares, but as a result to both the lack of this feature and the silence, I have cancelled my fitbit subscription and moved to a different product instead of upgrading my fitbit.

I did the same yesterday. Fitbit execs are asleep at the wheel.

4 years asking for a simple feature and zero response. The best comments in this thread are from people saying they jumped ship and are happier with a different brand. Considering Fitbit is dropping support for many of their models it seems that jumping ship is the right call.

I second this suggestions and would find it very useful to be able to log manually a mindful session without using a coached session. I would enable me to practice mindfulness by myself or using a different platform. Could this feature be added ?

Please, please enable users to enter meditation days. I have my own practice. It has been a years long daily frustration to not have these sessions counted in the same way as exercise days. I’m so over it.

Can we get a response as to how much demand is required to enact upon a feature request? I am perplexed as to why after 4 years of consistent feedback, no action has been taken on the ability to manually add mindfulness sessions. I just finished my unguided daily practice and decided to check to see how I could log it... now I need another session to calm my frustration from reading 4 years of ignored requests from likeminded fitness enthusiasts. Come on Fitbit!

Please add the option to manually register mindfulness activities!

Thank you

Seems like this feature is well overdue!

PLEASE consider adding this feature! Mindfulness is a major part of the health journey and I already have an established practice with no interest in using the Fitbit pre-recorded sessions.

Another option would be to have a mindfulness stopwatch/timer just like recording a run or bike ride we could record our meditation session. I understand I can log a “meditating” activity but that is tracked under exercise and it needs to be tracked as mindfulness.

Please, please update this feature.

Heavily agree with the desire for this app and the disappointment in the silence around the request. It’s frustrating that my Fitbit profile will be missing such a big part of my health journey, as I’m not going to change my longstanding meditation practice.

So i agree with the desire to manually log meditation sessions in the mindfulness spot. And see some have changed from fitbit. I assume they found an app/tracker/ wrist monitor that would do that. Any recommendations

I use multiple meditation apps. The content offered with the fitbit app is good, but limited. I don't understand why we can't simply log our own sessions. Please fix this.

I think a lot of us fitbit users totally agree with you

The functionality of tracking meditation is pitiful. Any stress reduction I get from meditation is negated by the frustration of logging it. If I do the meditation in the app, it should know when I start and stop. If I do a sleep meditation and fall asleep, it tracks the time I’m sleeping as meditation and there is no ability to edit the time - only option is to delete. Also, need option to manually log meditation in the mindfulness section. Tracking it as an activity is not an acceptable solution.

Currently, the only way for Fitbit to recognise mindfulness is through participating in the beginner apps on offer. There are many people who do mediation or other forms of relaxation, other than novice apps. There should be a manual logging workaround.

Yes! The “relax” app should have an option to tap start on your wrist, and start timing your meditation.
