Able to manually log mindfulness sessions in Mindfulness tile

To be able to manually log mindfullness sessions, just like you can manually log a walk, or other exercises. I like the ‘time’ and ‘reflection’ aspects of it and how it appears in the ‘my journey’ section. If I was able to manually log it, I could listen to other apps, or no apps at all, but still log it in the mindfullness section.

It would be great to be able to manually add a mindfulness activity done outside of the app. You can manually add exercise, sleep etc but not mindfulness.

I completely agree. The mindfulness choices are very limited in Fitbit and most folks already have their preferred mindfulness app or routine. Similar to how you can log an exercise manually, you should absolutely be able to log a mindfulness session manually.

While it's very nice that premium has mindfulness videos, I've been meditating on my own for several years and simply want to be able to manually edit my sessions in the app. As you are aware by the plethora of other community members commenting on the same thing, it is just gobsmackingly ridiculous that we are not given this capability by Fitbit. If I can edit what I ate or drank on any given day, why can't I add a meditation session I don't need an online tool for? The Universe is scratching its head at you, Fitbit engineers.

Mindfulness should be able to be manually logged in the same way as exercise, for those who use other apps for mindfulness and meditation

Do we need to crowdfund the development budget for this? What are the metrics we need to hit to move this forward?

Yes please!!

I have premium subscription, but the only way I can log meditation sessions is to use one of the premium meditation sessions (which I do not need as I am an experienced meditator). You need to add the ability to manually log in mediation sessions or better yet, let us track a meditation session WITHOUT having to use one of the premium sessions.

I've been looking across the community boards and seen the request quite frequently and agree it would be an amazing and simple addition. Unfortunately people have been asking for over 4 years now so I don't we'll ever see it implemented

Love that the FitBit moderator is saying that if we all comment and vote that this feature would be implemented - IN 2020! Y’all it’s literally almost 5 years later and Fitbit has received THOUSANDS of upvotes and requests to be able manually log mindfulness minutes and they STILL HAVE NOT DONE IT. Soooo…really disappointing and frankly when this Fitbit dies (this is my fourth one in 8 years) - I’ll get the Apple Watch next - I need a tool that keeps up with the pace of technology and that will allow me more meditation options than the PATHETIC list of a dozen or so beginner guided meditations.

Agreed! Come Fitbit. Listen to your customers!!

Agreed! I already switched to Apple Watch unfortunately because otherwise I did like my Fitbit. But it also died a little over a year after I got it, which was disconcerting. I do agree that this should have been implemented years ago when I first commented on it! 👍

Agreed! Too much time has passed and I've had enough. I keep getting emails
about replies to this thread and this along with the horrible UI/UX update
made only reminds me how devs have no intention of ever listening to the
community or making their products better. Vote with your wallet and pick a
better option - when my Fitbit finally dies I'm going for an Apple Watch.

This would be a very welcome feature. It seems like the community has Beena asking for it for a while. I wonder when it will be released

Same, I’ve already switched to Garmin (excellent move) and I keep getting emails reminding that Fitbit doesn’t care about consumer feedback and this meditation logging is still an issue.

Add me to the list of users who would like to be able to log our own meditations. The lack of follow through on this in the four years since this thread was started indicates an unresponsiveness that one would expect from a corporation of Google’s size but it’s still disappointing. It’s also a deal breaker for me—I’m returning my Charge 6 and returning to the (imperfect but still preferable) Whoop strap.

Yep / don’t blame you. These corporations need to be more responsive especially to an update as SIMPLE as this would be. Not like it would cost them more. And for those disappointed but not ready to ditch Fitbit yet - I think I will just not renew my premium membership when it’s time. I mean this isn’t premium service. Sooo why pay for something that doesn’t work for me?

Hey all... it been a long time since I started this thread... ironicly my
Fitbit stopped working. Instead of getting another one, I got a Samsung
Galaxy Watch.

Thank all for supporting this request!

How has this not been done yet, after being proposed 4 years ago? I am baffled. This is such an easy fix.

I really thought Fitbit was about supporting people’s individual wellness and fitness journeys, but forcing people to do Fitbit’s chosen meditations in order to log a meditation practice seems like something very different.

Just got the Charge 6. Coming from the Apple Watch I was surprised I couldn’t log meditations. I knew there was no integration with Insight Timer but am disappointed I can’t at least log my own time.
