Able to manually log mindfulness sessions in Mindfulness tile

To be able to manually log mindfullness sessions, just like you can manually log a walk, or other exercises. I like the ‘time’ and ‘reflection’ aspects of it and how it appears in the ‘my journey’ section. If I was able to manually log it, I could listen to other apps, or no apps at all, but still log it in the mindfullness section.

Many Fitbit users such as myself meditate on our own or with other apps or classes, and we would like to track it along with our other health data. But Fitbit only tracks meditation done using Fitbit guided meditations. Enabling us to manually record mindfulness minutes should be an easy update, given that the Activity tracker has such a feature.

This would be a great feature. I just started with a meditation coach and the ability to log my meditation times would provide the accountability I need until it just becomes a daily ritual.  Excellent suggestion! Hope it makes it to the app.

I fully agree. I like doing some of my mindfulness sessions without guidance and would love to be able to manually log these!

I wrote the original post in 2020, nearly 5 years ago. There are now nearly 800 responses asking to be able to add mindfulness time manually and yet, no changes. I’m ver disappointed in Fitbit.

It’s nuts! If you can manually add exercise you should be able to add mindfulness too. I doubt I’ll be keeping Premium. I also can’t get my sleep profile…

I'm new to Fitbit, via Pixel 3 watch. I am devastated that there is no way to specifically track meditation or naps unless logging them as yoga or one of the other limited activities. I want to be able to see how meditation contributes to my heart rate, HRV and stress readings, and I want to be able to track naps that are less than 3 hours!

This would be extremely helpful. I regularly do tailored affirmation/meditation sessions for my mood, profession, etc that I can’t log. Even if the “meditation” exercise already on there could just be modified to register for mindfulness. Or if we could start a session on the app or the Fitbit like with exercise.
