Able to manually log mindfulness sessions in Mindfulness tile

To be able to manually log mindfullness sessions, just like you can manually log a walk, or other exercises. I like the ‘time’ and ‘reflection’ aspects of it and how it appears in the ‘my journey’ section. If I was able to manually log it, I could listen to other apps, or no apps at all, but still log it in the mindfullness section.

100% I would definitely like to see this OR integration with 3rd party meditation apps for tracking mindfulness.

A suggestion…I would like to sync other meditation apps and/or manually add my mindfulness sessions.

I would like to you add the ability for me to log in mindfulness sessions done outside the fitbit app. I often do sessions outside the app and can't log them, yet I can log pretty much anything else I would like to keep track of.

2023 and we're STILL waiting. Every time I think of something critical the fitbit needs for usability, it has already been requested by multiple people for years on end and nothing is ever done about it. Should've bought an apple watch.

I agree it should be a simple fix to allow tracking of activity, no different than tracking exercise that is completed outside of the app.

Although I do occasionally use the Fitbit app mindfulness tools, I often participate in mindfulness/meditation activities offline.  It would be nice to track this activity in addition to my online activity.

Since the fitbit tracks other stuff on the app, can I add my own meditation habits there?

Yes, add a mediation timer to include silent meditation sessions without using a guided meditation.

Add a meditation timer to mindfulness section to log your meditation with out using a guided session.

I would also like this and would use it daily. Would like it best if it was part of the "relax" app. Just to be able to set a time right on my wrist, have it buzz at the beginning, buzz at the end. Then logged that I've meditated and maybe show my heart rate before and after. Great if I can do it all from my wrist and never take out the phone.

I recently got my Fitbit and spent ages trying to work out how to log my own meditations - can't believe it's not an option as it is such a simple thing. Leaves a big gap in the overall picture of my wellbeing that Fitbit gives me.

Which would you recommend @itsjustpie? Seeing as Fitbit don't seem to take much notice of these requests, I figure it's OK to talk about competitors here. My main needs were something with decent step tracking and heart rate monitoring (for a watch), waterproof, good battery life and minimal phone like features (eg don't want to receive calls/texts/emails etc on it).

I used to want this manual meditation tracking feature but honestly the heart rate tracking on mine is so wildly inaccurate for exercise that I don’t even care anymore. My husband has a Garmin and that’s definitely what I’m buying next.

@Natasha81 thanks for the heads up! I'm reviewing my options at the moment too and good to know your thoughts.

Adding my voice to the impatient chorus waiting for the ability to manually track meditation!

I use other apps/ books/readings for my morning and evening meditations and, like others, would like the ability to enter the time manually into my “mindfulness” practices.  I’m not drawn to the ones that come with the fitbit app.  Thank you for considering this option!

I would appreciate being able to track or manually add my meditation to the mindfulness icon. Currently it is useless to me. I prefer any sounds to be from the birds in my yard or the air cleaner in the room. I  cannot go deep into a meditative state with someone talking or music playing. Tracking it in exercise defeats the purpose of having a separate icon and the Relax on my fitbit doesn't sync to the app.

Just wanted to add that my husband and I finally cancelled our premium memberships because this feature hasn't been added despite literal years of requests... Fitbit appears to profit on the meditations they allow you to log and therefore has zero interest in making this a feature. There are better options out there that do allow manual meditation tracking and I'd rather give my money to a brand that listens to its community better.

Agreed! Stopped using Fitbit too for this among other reasons.
