Able to return to previous Fitbit app version

Woke up this morning to your new app. To say the least I am not impressed. It lacks color and is boring and adds nothing new to what was there before. I absolutely hate it. I am a longtime Fitbit user but this might actually change that on next purchase.

I loved my fitbit, the old app interface and the web-based dashboard. It was an awesome package. My Customer service interaction was also a completely fantastic experience.
But as an older user, the new interface is awful! Hard to use, hard to read and boring! You have replaced something easy, fun and vibrant with monochrome sameness. Why? Why?

I'm still hating the "new".  Put back the "old".  Clearly we're still not happy with this change we never asked for.  Like the old saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

@SunsetRunner I think it was these horrible changes that had more people flocking to use the one on the website. The one on the website was a lot better to and had more to offer. but they got rid of it claiming there is the same stuff on the app when I think app usage went down and they instead of admitting they were wrong just got rid of the website version. Because not everything on there is in the app.

For years I have depended on my FitBit in so many ways. When I got up first thing in the morning was to grab a cup of coffee and pull up FB on my computer. I would enter my weight and compare my progress on weight loss. I would review my steps and miles for that week and plan out my schedule. I would look at my friend's reports and maybe send a word of encouragement or congratulations. FitBit and I had a long relationship. But, things changes. I still weigh first thing every morning just like i use to but now I often don't even bother to record it on my iPhone. It is more of a chore than something to look forward to with my cup of coffee. I don't feel a connection to FitBit at all. If there were another platform where I could have what use to be, I would gladly jump ship. I hope you rethink this change.

New update is terrible. Can no longer log a game of sport as “enough distance hasn’t been tracked” even though i would have run at least 4km - doesn’t even log steps anymore. Touch screen on watch no longer works since the update.
Have been a loyal fitbit user for the last 10 years - am about to purchase a new watch from your major competitor

Hi @Nothappyjan23 - strangely Google hasn't developed a go back feature yet for any of its updates on watches or Playstore.

@Marel66  It was a happy accident, really - born from an utter distrust of Google/Fitbit.  I just clicked "don't allow automatic updates" and boy, was I happy I did!  For a while anyway...  My gut feeling was right, sadly.  The more I try to figure out this "new to me" app, the more I hate it already. 😞  Seriously, how uninspiring is this?!  🙄  Almost can't wait for this Fitbit to die so I can try another brand.  And I really loved my Luxe - but, as I am now discovering, a huge part of it was the app.

😉  You guys will have to excuse me while I take my turn to have a tantrum.  😱😫😭😠

@regi_lap  Lol, trust me - that everyday I had the older/better app, I appreciated it that much more - knowing this day would come sooner or later.  😓  I am incredibly sad, regardless.  Good to know you're happy with the new one, and think that's the way I'll go when the time comes.  Thanks for that.

Looks like the end of the year, we have to merge everything to a gmail account?  Yeah, that's just not gonna happen.  Hate the feeling of being strong-armed and forced to do stuff like that when I'm *already* miffed with them.  So... what now?  Three more months, I guess. 🙄

I loved my Luxe until these changes, too! And I can’t find a substitute that counts pool laps and is a tracker, not some device I have to tell things in advance. Know what I mean? Oh, and did I say I want it to look like a bracelet and not some huge techno watch….??? Any thoughts?

@hellotom Consider your post voted for, good for you.  Surely marketing understands that dissatisfaction with one product will cloud ALL products - especially when it comes to customer service, ie. Listening to thousands of complaints.  The only conclusion we can draw, is that they just don't care.

In the light of day, this app is even worse.  If that's possible?  I wonder how many of you remember this now, lol... but I am really going to miss those coloured bars showing Zone stages (and percents) in the Exercises - that we used to see at a glance?  It was so easy to scroll, and look for the orange and red zones to see your good days.  I can't even see the times anymore!  (They are only in hours??).  Ugh, this is so terrible.  ☹️

And looking at Sleep first thing in the morning is enough to give a person vertigo.  What a mess.

I’ve been using Fitbit since 2017 and I e been very happy with it and have recommended it to everyone I know. This is the first time I’ve hated the new app update. It’s not good that I can’t see me weekly progress all at once and that I have to check day by day. It also erased all of my workouts that I did this week, after the update

I totally agree. It looks cheap and outdated and like everything went backwards. The original version was so much better for functionality and visually pleasing as well. I really hope they take all of our complaints into consideration cause I’ve also been using it for many years
