To anyone interested. This will be my last post. Clearly there is no one on the other end of out post's. The only way "I" can think of to show Fitbit my disappointment is by never buying their product again and asking my friends to do the same! My next "smart watch" will not be a Fitbit, what's the point. To all of you that have tried to stay loyal to the brand, know this, that loyalty is one way. I wish you all the best. Rangers Lead The Way!
I've come to the same conclusion. Current Fitbit on its last legs. Have bought an Android watch. Runs a full version of Android. (Not androidwear or any other cut down version.) AND you can download any app that is on Playstore, including AUDIBLE. Has Bluetooth, so plays to my Bluetooth earbud and has HR monitor. Even takes it's own SIM card if needed.
Thanks for the post about the Android watch.... I'm definitely looking into that if I can resell my Versa. I do not want to support a company like Fitbit that is not listening to it's customer base.
Hello @markboston34 ! Thanks for sharing this suggestion, I moved it to this similar post so you can add your vote to it. Please keep sharing your ideas with us!
Yep I would love audible on here. found a way around it but I don't want to mess with this thing too much. I guess you can convert the audible books into a weird MP3 files and then download them onto the versa but you have to download a separate program for it. why didn't they take audible into consideration when thinking of apps to pair with it. But at least you can get your starbucks on 😕
I'll add my voice to this one as well. It would be awesome to have a native audible app for the Ionic. This is one of the missing features that I am waiting for to pull the trigger on an Ionic.
Well, my AltaHR just died, and when offered a discount on Ionic I jumped. An audible app would make this new Fitbit near perfect. I notice though, that we've been collectively asking for audible for two YEARS! I don't think they are listening.
I would like this feature. I have purchased a couple fitness/bodybuilding books via both Audible and Google's more recent audio books. I'd like it if both standalone apps were supported on the ionic. They'd allow me to listen on the go without a phone. What I hate about carrying the phone around with me on runs, walks, amd excercise machines is that they can easily slip out of my loose pocket.
This is the only thing keeping me from purchasing a fitness tracking watch none of them have an audible app so i will continue to run with my phone until one of the watch makers gets the audible app fitbit it could be you unless Garmin does it first
Just got my versa 2 yesterday. Super bummed there is no audiobook app. I have the Libby (for public library), audiobooks.com app and audible apps on my phone and would love to be able to listen to them with the watch. I don't really listen to music except from the iHeartRadio app (which seems to be missing from the watch as well). Hopefully that just gets added in an update instead of having to buy a new watch!

I like to listen to audio books when I am exercising. Since Fitbit already has an alliance with Amazon, it would be great if there was a way to have the audible app on my watch. If that didn't work out, there is also another app for audiobooks called Scribd.
Hi @pollyw, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to use audible books on Fitbit devices. This feature suggestion already exists, so I’ve moved your post here. It seems that the only app that has been added since 2017 has been spotify. I will never use spotify and dislike the service. However, I listen to a LOT of books while doing long distance running and biking.
Hi @lalopez42, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to add audio books to Fitbit smartwatches. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request. A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.
I use Audible while I jog, I think a lot of people do. I hope the app will be added. 🙂 Please! It's true, converting to and using .mp3 is a pain and not something I'd do. I was considering upgrading my Fitbit to get one with built-in GPS but if I still need my phone for Audible, it's not worth it for me.
I would like for there to be a way that I could listen to audiobooks on my Fitbit Sense. I think on this device it will be necessary to do it through having an Amazon Audible app for Fitbit.
