Add Lloyds bank to UK Fitbit pay

More bank compatibility for uk Fitbit pay versa users. So far Fitbit pay is not connected to any major banks in the UK. The very few that fit bit pay is connected to I’ve never even heard of. So as a UK versa owner I have the special edition and can’t use the very feature that separates it from the the normal versa.

is Fitbit pay going to compatible with the major banks in the UK like Barclays, Lloyds, Santander, HSBC, NatWest, TSB, Metro Bank, Halifax, Royal Bank of Scotland etc and also I haven’t seen any where (shops) that accepts Fitbit pay yet.

We need to add Lloyds bank to the fitbit wallet.

I was not told about the lack of uk banks there were until it was to late purchasing my versa mostly for this reason.

Please add Lloyd's.

Hi @JamesHunt. Thanks for sharing your suggestion about adding Lloys bank to Fitbit Pay with us! I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can check this other suggestion here. Keep adding your suggestions!

That's all Fitbit do is move posts around on this site so the huge amount of complaints regarding Fitbit Pay and the failure of Fitbit to add UK major banks after a number of YEARS doesn't look as bad.  I have been complaining about this for a long time on other social media as well but Fitbit continue to do nothing about it apart from state they are working on it.  I have even spoken to my bank Lloyd's and they were unaware of any dealings with Fitbit to have Fitbit Pay added as Google Pay has.  I suggested Google Pay be added as an app for my Ionic but that appears to have fallen on deaf ears as well.

One of these days Fitbit will release a statement letting us know that Fitbit Pay is never going to work in the UK and those customers who bought their products with this additional feature swaying their decision were lied to and conned by the advertising and Fitbits promises.

I continue to regularly complain via social media and urge everyone else to do so as well.

Tenchu2uk, I am with you..... I have been a fitbit supporter from the beginning when they needed us to support their tech in what was becoming a cluttered marketplace.  Today, we have choice but we still stick with them.  However, I have to say that once my current device goes bang (just purchased), I will be leaving them.  I purchased my device because of fitbit Pay (wanted to have the option of not getting my phone or debit card out on the underground)....... I doubt we will ever see this functionality now.  They will never partner with Google as they will have to pay licence to them............

If it comes I will be a very happy customer, but after 2 years I just cannot see this happening.....

Agreed, I know apple products are more expensive but regret buying Fitbit now!

I should have gone with my guy instinct of Apple Watch, Fitbit do not take customer service seriously 😐

Don't believe a word Fitbit tell us about adding major UK banks to the compatibility list.

I have just had an interesting conversation with Lloyd's regarding them adding to the Fitbit Pay bank list.

Their response...........

They are not planning on introducing this option in the near future... see a copy of their reply

"I'm afraid I'd be unable to provide any further advise on this at the moment, apart from the fact we have no current plans to introduce this service."

Care to comment Fitbit.....

Having just bought my Versa 2 today, I'm appalled to learn the Fitbit Pay feature is frankly useless in the UK.

Had I known, Id have gone for the Samsung Galaxy Active 2 which was also a contender...

So anyway, Now that Google have bought Fitbit, can we get rid of the useless Fitbit Pay and have Google Pay grafted on? Ideally with some urgency

Exactly my thoughts when I read the news about Google yesterday. Let’s hope Google have a better customer service than Fitbit.

Back in 2018 it was being discussed and you still have no answer or solution did you actually finish the discussion??

Can’t finish a discussion when ‘the cause‘ continues to stonewall you, saying it’s everybody else’s problem not theirs.

Ok ive just set up a revolut card.  It took me 2 minutes.   I transferred money to it from my google pay and set it up on Fitbit. Why did fitbit not tell us about this way of being able to pay  With our watch grrrrr.  Still at least it's working now.  Only taken 18 months! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

They need to add more UK banks, or stop advertising the payment option in the UK.

Starling bank is very good, quick and easy to set up. You get a mastercard debit card, good for using abroad (no transaction fees). Can use from your Fitbit, and Google pay.
Online banking with an app, so no branches.

@GutherS is there a way to just keep paying with your watch without having to top up your account like using google pay on mobile.

If so can you please take me through step by step..  I have just downloaded revolut and it only gives me options to top up my account.

Feel totally misled by Fitbit on this supported bank issue.  What is the point if none of us can use the stupid things to pay as we don't have accounts with these totally obscure banks. Surely you would start with the main stream ones not the other way round!!!  Very poor service in my opinion as it was one of the main reasons for buying a Charge 3.  Disgraceful
