Add POSB for Fitbit Pay

Please include more banks into your Fibit Pay (POSB, Maybank, Citibank, AMEX, etc.). Having 2 banks for Singapore users just doesn't cut. This is pretty critical for joggers who only wear their watches during runs and bring nothing else.

Since there is no active support or statement from the official FitBit team on this matter; For the time being I have found a work-around, and this might be useful to others also:

1) Get a Revolut card - just google it. Easy to get one at no cost.

2) Load money in Revolut using your POSB/DBS cards

3) Add that Revolut card in your FitBit Pay

.. And your FitBit is good to go in MRTs/PayWave terminals.

I wonder if the moderators don't understand the importance of this, as well as the unique role of DBS/POSB in Singapore.

Moderators, a couple of points to help out here:

  1. DBS and POSB in Singapore are, for all intents and purposes, the same retail bank, with the same ownership (DBS). DBS/POSB is the largest retail bank in Singapore, and DBS has a large presence across Southeast Asia. When I moved to Singapore 15 years ago, it was obvious that DBS was the bank to use. So while the subject reads "Add POSB to Fitbit Pay", it should really be "Add DBS/POSB to Fitbit Pay". If you are outside of Singapore, you may not have heard of POSB, but DBS is all over the place.
  2. POSB is the oldest operating local band in Singapore, and was acquired by DBS in 1998. Because of its history as of low cost local banking, POSB has a unique loyalty among Singaporeans.
  3. Not having DBS on Fitbit Pay excludes a vast number of Singaporeans and Singapore residents from the Fitbit Pay ecosystem.

Now please, step up and fix this issue. Thanks.

Really hope the DBS/POSB- Fitbit tie up will happen soon.

Please contact the support number on the back of your credit card and let them know that you want Fitbit pay.

Fitbit has everything setup for the banks to add Fitbit pay. Fitbit does not add the bank. The bank has to add Fitbit Pay.

Hi, Any update on DBS/POSB?

Rich_Laue

@jerryantonius you will need to ask the bank.

All Fitbit can tell you is if they have connected, or not connected. The decision is theirs.

Ive written in to DBS asking whether they have any plans to support Fitbit Pay. They have replied and mentioned that they do not have the answer to my enquiry. 🤷

Its been 2 years since this is raised and Fitbit is still reviewing it. Thats too slow. It is better to move to Apple watch

hi @ranjanr Fitbit has everything thing set up, the last step is up to POSB to add Fitbit Pay to their system.

It really is up to the customers of POSB to ask their banks to take the last step and add Fitbit Pay.

This is no different than a bank adding any other virtual card.

@Wei92 fitbit is not able to add a bank to the Fitbit Pay.

It is up to the bank to add fitbit pay to their system.

Have you expressed your displeasure with your bank?

I noticed that POSB has added Apple Pay and for the bank, the process to add Fitbit Pay is no different than it was to add Apple Pay.

Just got my versa 3 this week. Love it.

Seem like fitbit pay has opened his door to the bank but the bank choose not to move towards fitbit pay. Guess I have to move towards a bank that able to link to fitbit pay.

Marry Christmas and a happy new year to all... and The Bank.

@YojanaFitbit,there is still no official reply from fitbit regarding this. Very disappointed that Fitbit Pay doesn't support DBS/POSB.

As @gauravfit suggested, I am just using my wise card to get around with my payments.

Hello Community,

Can anyone advise if we can use DBS/POSB cards in Google Pay on Fitbit. Noted Fitbit Pay does not allow DBS/POSB, but now with the integration with Google Pay I assumed we could use all Banks which allow for Google Pay.

I think we better bombard DBS/POSB with feedback to include FITBITPAY into their system. It's ridiculous. The technology has been there since 2019 and post covid still nothing is done.
