Yes, please add roller skating/blading as an option! Myself and hundreds/thousands of other roller derby members spend a lot of time skating indoors and out, and currently don't have the means to accurately track our distance and efforts. Many of us are using roller derby to get into shape, track calories, and distance skated. It would be widely used, I am sure!

please add roller blading/skating.

This is the only thing keeping me from buying one of the trackers, this is my main activity and I see that it doesn't track roller skates.

Please add this as a trackable feature for the Blaze and other platforms. It's annoying that I can't review my outing afterwards with GPS tracking in a reliable manner when roller blading, as I want to make the steps count, but also reliably track my speed in the process.

Please add roller blading - that's how I wear out my dog and get exercise.

Over a year ago, this is most definitely not the first request... so I don't think there will be one, for example there was another post about a customized on-timer on the face, 3 years old, even mods replied 2 years ago, nothing.

Training for an inline skate marathon, so for the last few years I've used MapMyFitness + Fitbit. Not easy to do this in two places, please add some kind of skating recognition.

Adding roller blading would be killer! Let's get this

I would like to be able to track rollerblading while I'm actually rollerblading instead of manually entering it. Kind of like biking. So if we could have a rollerblading shortcut that also tracks distance, that would be great! I have a Fitbit blaze. There's no label for blaze below.

I am primarily a long distance runner but I also cross train using rollerblades and I would love to see rollerblading added to the workouts

So, I ended up getting a Charge 2, go into Bike mode and it will track GPS and speed, outdoors and indoors. It will not consider the strides but you do get speed when it's connected to the phone and gps signal.

I'm kinda sad that you can't have rollerblading in the shortcuts for the charge 2, it's one of my main forms of excersize. Hopefully it gets added soon

I skate every single day as my form of exercise. The fitbit blaze just doesn't track the roller blading properly. You really need to add this to the next app update.

I would like to be able to log activities that are not standard "exercise", such as house and yard work.  If you've ever done a week's worth of laundry or pulled weeds for an hour, you know that it requires energy!  Vacuuming and mopping are tracked pretty well because of the stepping involved.  Folding and ironing clothing - not so much.  I really don't need any additional functionality, simply an expansion of allowable entries.  FYI - Weight Watchers has this available.

Thanks!

It would be a nice feature to be able to track rollerblading in the Fitbit app. I like the track and exercise feature but you can't categorize rollerblading at all. Thank you!

I would not call it rollerblading but Inline skating the name Rollerblade is the brand name.
But this would be perfect for my weekend workout, If they call it skating you would be able to use it on ice to.

Anyway does anyone know what exercise type is the best use for now?
I have been using bike, but maybe hike, run or walk. would make more sense?

I tried run but it didn't work because skating was too fast so it was inconsistent. I never tried walking. I always use Biking. You are correct Skating would be an appropriate category. Don't hold your breath. It has been almost three years and Fitbit has added anything.

I bought the Fitbit Charge 2 today and owned the Fitbit Up band when it first released. I rollerblade about 45min every day and skate the longest skating rink in the world while its open in the winter months as well as cross country and alpine ski as often as possible. I find that none of these sports can be tracked on the Fitbit. I also know that calories burned in each one is quite different so the level of testing and development can't be easy. If there is any way I can assist in gathering data, don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Please add rollerblade tracking as this is a very important part of my training.

I can't believe that this still hasn't been implemented. Why can't I add my own exercises to my exercise shortcuts? Who even picked these exercises that we're restricted to? I'm going to try a different activity tracker which has these function.

Roller Derby is an international sport with a growing community in every state, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Netherlands and all over Europe.  you'd think this would be noticed and an update to monitor skating miles and effects would be considered.

Avid horse back riding. It would be awsome to have an Exercise app that is for riding.   we train and condition our horses as much as we train and condition our selves. Knowing what conditioning we are doing wiht each horse each week is important.. In addition the correction on Steps and exercise could be applied to the equestrian app so we don't over count steps.

Also if we can log different rides under different names then we can track the training time on each individual horse, rather than speed dollars looking at new Equine trackers coming into the market. Rather have my Fitbit do it all.
