Hi @tjhxrris, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about adding skiing to the Exercise app list with us. I noticed that a similar idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestion board, so I’ve moved your post here. Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.
Hi @Joshg1996, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about adding Skiing to activity shortcuts. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". I hope to see you around.
I found fitbits answer considering ability to track skiing to be "Under Consideration". Unfortunately that was 4 years ago? Nothing after that? Is it really so difficult? I have Versa 3 at the moment!
We won't hold our breath. We've come to the realization that it's way done the list for Fitbit. This is why people are buying other devices for this sport.
@Charliejv This was actually first requested over SEVEN years ago (January 2015) by me and some others.
Like just about all others here who like winter sports, I long ago ditched my Fitbits and have purchased a series of Garmin's and currently have a Fenix 6X Sapphire. Others have gone the Polar route.
Hi @Meliss85, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about adding figure skating to the Fitbit activity list. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". Click on the thumbs-up to show your support.
@Meliss85 Don't waste your time - I first suggested this in January 2015, more than seven years ago, and it still
hasn't progressed past being "under consideration".
It is quite obvious that Fitbit are not remotely interested in the winter sport community. I have given up and bought a series of Garmins, the last (and best) being a Fenix 6X Sapphire. Most people on here, have, over the years, thrown their Fitbits in the bin and bought either a Garmin or Polar.
Is this still under consideration? New to Fitbit…would love to see downhill and other forms of skiing as an auto-detect exercise type. Integration/communication with Ski Tracks app would also be amazing! Thanks!
Hi everyone, and thanks for sharing this suggestion. We’re very happy to let you know that this has been released on the newFitbit Sense 2 and Fitbit Versa 4, and these exercise modes will be coming to more devices next year.
@Xtaski, in recognition of your excellent suggestion, each of your votes will now count as 5 votes - you have the power! Thank you for sharing this idea, and thanks to everyone who voted and commented for your enthusiasm which has now materialized for everyone’s benefit. We hope you all enjoy this new addition to the Fitbit product or service!
Considering how long it took you to actually move a finger and consider your customers, shall we expect the same treatment for the implementation on other devices? So around 6 years...
And do not bother adding voting power, the OP probably died waiting for your replies...
