@Fitbit Can anyone that is officially from within Fitbit comments on this, its been 3 years with 275 votes and technology has changed massively in those 3 years, including the price of wearables like the sense... This would only make "sense" to broaden the accepted Banks...
Excuse me!! It's the principle of the matter. As the majority of smart watches have TD canada and US. And also being a client with accounts in the 2 countries. And who are you to question whether or not I can afford the watch? This isn't a post to **ahem** and question if people have the finances to purchase a fitbit. Why would you even care....you're not paying anyone's mortage! Have a great day😀
honestly, just link a credit card and get over it. If your credit is so bad you can’t get a credit card, maybe you shouldn’t be buying $200 watches and should be focusing on your credit score instead.
for the record. I’m perfectly fine with the way things are.
If you are so fine with how it is then why instigate a community request 275 other people see as a issue... Clearly you are not at peace with anything but your entitled self...
Is there any update on the potential timing for adding TD bank to the list of supported Canadian banks for using Fitbit to pay? Looks like it's been under consideration for several years now.
Please, more support for more banks is needed... TD Visa/Debit as well as STFS/Triangle Mastercard... Regretting I did not research what was supported for tap payment before I bought a Fitbit, heavily regretting my choice now as a result...
I'm puzzled why we need to ask. In addition to RBC, just add the other top 4 banks and you will have 90% of us covered! I'm with BMO. But clearly this is a pointless exercise as nothing has changed in almost 3 years.
The fact that this original post was about 3 years ago and this issue still hasn't been addressed is upsetting. No care for Canadian client base. If this is the case, just get on with it and add Google pay to the fitbits. Ridiculous.
Another vote for TD!! I just bought a versa 2 and excitedly went to set up pay and NO TD bank!! With millions of customers nation wide this is shocking. Please please set it up. Considering switching to an Apple Watch for this feature.
I think TD needs to be added to the list of banks we can use for FitBit Pay. I am actually shocked that one of the largest banks in Canada is not on the list and actually very disappointed. Makes me wonder why I bothered to get this product if I can't use all the features it advertised on the box
This has been requested since 1018 we are now in 2021 and still no TD Bank for us Canadians. We have waited patiently and done what you have asked "put it on the request board" I have seen so many moderators say the same thing and still nothing. Looks like we are just unappreciated as customers. There are 5 pages of requests here for TD Bank alone. Are you guys actually doing something about this? A reply would be nice.
Why is TD still not on Fitbit Pay? It's arguably the main bank of Canada and is still not on the platform. I'm wondering if there is a bigger issue or the fitbit pay team is lazy. Whatever, it is. This has been going for way too long and it needs to come now. I will be waiting.
Well it's 2021, I see comments back to 2018. How much research does Fitbit need to be completed to add more Canadian Banks? I made a comment in 2019 asking for TD to be added. Almost 3 years after purchasing my Fitbit, I still can't use Fitbit pay. All the other comments I have read across this platform in regards to Canadian Banks seems to be accurate, Canada is on the bottom of the list for development. The moderators try to stay positive, but the answer is the same. "We are working on it". Personally I think Fitbit classifies Canadians' as the backwoods cousin to the USA, so their is no rush to appaise us, just take our money, to hell with what you need. Fitbit showing they have no respect for a nation of shoppers! I bet if I check out Europe or Asia they have more than 2 Banks listed.
Well, it appears Fitbit couldn't be less serious about Canadian customers. People started requesting TD, Simplii, PC and others in 2018 and there has been zero action from Fitbit. I am about to order my 4th warranty replacement and have a choice between the Charge 3 for free or the C4 for an extra $100. I don't much see spending the hundred on a non functioning pay feature and might as well get the C3 for nothing. Four fitbits in four years and now a useless pay app. Fitbit makes it extremely easy to want to check the competition and check out someone else's product.
Please add TD. The pay feature is something I was excited to use. Disappointed to see Manulife and others I have never even heard of but not TD, Scotia, or BMO. This has been requested since 2018.
Fitbit is never going to help us out. Since 2018 we've been asking for more Canadian banks to no avail. I have had four Charge series Fitbits. Every one replaced under warranty because of the lousy quality. So, on top of lousy hardware, we now also have lousy software to contend with. I can't be bothered going through the warranty dance for a fifth time and buying them for features that end up not working in Canada. I'll find something else that provides quality and working apps. Goodbye to anymore Fitbit products.
