Pretty sad that this device was released with only THREE supported banks in Canada......It's been over 7 months since the Versa has been released and there has been no change in supported banks.

By the time they add anything else, I'll probably have moved on to a new device. Disappointing.

I just bought the Versa SE expressly because of the wallet option... am shocked to find only one of the major banks in Canada is supported.  Disgusted that it was marketed here (in Canada) as this wonderful feature, that I paid significantly more to have, but then after purchase you discover - oh, by the way - the majority of Canadians will be unable to use it.  That PC Financial Mastercard which I assumed would be supported because it's one of the most popular cards in Canada -- not on the list. And Sport Chek, where I bought it, has a "no return" policy once it's opened. So I'm stuck.  Can't even return it and get my money back.  Very, very disappointed.  Will not recommend Fitbit to anyone after this.

(Only now I see once having joined "the community" after purchasing that people have been complaining about this for ages without resolution. Sigh.)

Just got my Fitbit Charge 3. I was sooo excited about the Fitbit pay only to find that TD is not supported. I am so very very very disappointed. I am considering returning my Charge as this was one of the main features that I was hoping to use.

I have a Fitbit ionic and I am very disappointed that I can't pay with TD in Canada on the watch. Its almost been a year since this was released so let's make this happen. instead of constantly making new watches how about updating some of the features of the watches you already have?

I'm thinking of returning mine and switching to apple.

Please add TD Canada Trust to the bank list. I would like to buy the charge 3 with pay features, but will not if I cannot use that feature with my bank.

It it has been 4 months since you said it was under consideration. If a final decision could be made soon that would be much appreciated.

financially fitbit is a way better option than Apple Watch, but I might need to switch to Apple as they already have this feature set up and tested.

Thank you

How about creating apps for the major banks in Canada, debit and credit.....such as, Scotiabank, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Toronto Dominion (TD Bank), Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC)

It may be important to note again that TD Bank and TD Canada may not be mutually supported as the same bank.  Is that distinction clear on Fitbit's end?  I have other software connected to my bank that will not function without distinctions like this.

Love you always Canada, but my bank is TD US so that's my vote!

Yes! Please add TD Canada. I bought the special edition so I could use fitbit pay only to find out my back isn't supported. 😞

Surprised that this was suggested almost a year ago, and hasn't been implemented.

Hardly useful. We need all the major Canadian banks. I’m seriously thinking of switching to Apple Watch as a result.

Kind regards,

It is crazy that there are so few banks in Canada on your list. Seriously. I just bought 2 Versa Limiteds for my wife and myself and one of the reasons was to be able to tap pay. We use BMO and TD. It's crazy that you have 2 unheard of banks + RBC and none of the other big ones like TD, BMO, CIBC, etc.

I only bought a few days ago from Amazon but like a few others have said, I might return and get an apple watch. At least it's supported.

I have just purchased my new Ionic and for the most part I am enjoying it. However the reason for this purchase, which was $300 plus, was because I wanted the pay feature, only to find out oopppss.....can't use it!!!! Very upsetting and would have liked to have known that from the get go as to be honest I would not have made the purchase. I would have perhaps gone with a Samsung smart watch which is not the same but does many of the feature and I can you the Samsung Pay App. which does work with at least my CIBC bank card.

I am looking to see some results very quickly here in terms of Fitbit making arrangement with more Canadian Banking Institution! As one or more people on this post have stated 2 of the 3 accepted institutions are obscure for most of Canada and thus are not even acceptable. Fitbit is a company that has been around long enough and has made no doubt enough money on the Canadian population to seek agreements with many of the more popular banking institutions. i.e. TD, CIBC, Captial One Mastercard (which is accepted in the US but not Canada), BMO, VISA, Simplii (which is one of the fastest growing institutions in Canada).

It is my hope that this can be rectified as quickly as possible because in my mind it is bad form to sell a product that can't honesty be used in Canada

I’m a little disappointed because I purchased the special edition versa for my husbands birthday because of the Fitbit pay feature and he isn’t even able to use it due to compatability issues with his bank. It feels like wasted money and as though Fitbit doesn’t care about their Canadian customers. We would like to be able to use our PC Financial MasterCard with the Fitbit pay in Canada.

Hi @Cushman! Great suggestion, thanks for sharing.  I've moved it into a similar suggestion. Hopefully we will have support from other users since more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains.

We need all major banks in Canada on board. Major disappointment with this purchase after realizing, too late, that I can't even use it for what I bought it for.

Please add all major banks, BMO, Scotiabank, TD, etc etc

YES it’s insane this isn’t added and makes me want to return this for that reason alone!  There’s no reason to not get today on board
