Add a "Find my phone" app in the Fitbit App Gallery

We all misplace our phones from time to time. Since there is Bluetooth connection, it should be simple to reverse the notification and ring your phone. So long as the phone is within Bluetooth range, this should be a feature on the new Versa/Ionic.

Would be an awesome feature

What mrc1984 said!  Just ordered a Fenix 5 Plus Sapphire.  Sadly, Ionic is going back to Best Buy.  Just not enough return on the investment, considering I got the Adidas version, even at $80 discount for Black Friday it just doesn't meet my expectations.  I would still recommend it but it just doesn't meet my needs.

7 months later and still no find my phone feature. You would think Fitbit would have some integrity and actually get it done. Guess we will see in another 7 months. 🙄

How disappointing. Surprised that no response from Fitbit

Feels like we should, beavuse what bothers me most is the fact they have a forum but don’t reply to anything. The might as well not have it then.

A simple: “We’re on it.”, “It’s gonna take so and so long” or even “it can’t be made passible” would be enough.

I just spoke to a Fitbit agent and reinforced the common sense notion is that the number of votes gets their attention, as it did with increasing clock faces.

How do we get their attention?

The easiest is increasing the vote total. Not easy; perhaps other know of
ways (beyond f2f) to use social media etc.

We could all give the fitbit app a 1 star rating with a reference to this thread

They definitely need this feature, it's such a basic one!! C'mon Fitbit, get with the times.

I have a Garmin vivosmart HR and am looking for a new smart watch. The find your phone feature is a huge selling point for me because I loose my phone all the time. I leave my phone on silent and this feature will set it off even on silent. I use this feature at least every second day! I want to switch to Fit Bit but this feature is huge for me.

I just bought a fitbit charge 3 to replace my samsung. I am considering returning it for this feature alone. I lose my phone in my house all the time and this feature has saved me.

Have you checked out their vivosmart 4?

I ended up returning the Ionic and got a Fenix 5 Plus Sapphire. Like $300 off the retail price. Got a great deal on it and am so far loving it.

I am considering taking my Fitbit versa back now that I found out there is no app to Find my phone. It is one of the main reasons I got it. Please add the app as soon as possible.

How long before this is a possibility, I see this was suggested years ago. It's under moderation, but for how long? Recently purchased a versa and trying to determine if I'm keeping it - my old gear fit 2 even has this capability.

Switched to Fitbit from Harmon and really missing the long phone feature. I misplace my phone all the time and would love to be able to use the watch to find it.

I used to have the Samsung Gear2 watch until the dog I used to have chewed it up. It let me know when I was leaving without my phone and allowed me to find it as well. Since the versa, and other FitBits connect via bluetooth, the technology should be able to be reverse engineered to locate your phone through your watch. We all lose our phones and it would be most helpful for the FitBits to have this capability and would also make them much more competitive on the marketplace.

I lose my phone frequently and loved this feature about my Samsung Gear2 watch. I too vote for this feature to be added

Hi @tpearson1291, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, this feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is under consideration.

To MarcelFitbit (Moderator: to say I'm disappointed at how your company has
reacted to this simple request is an understatement. What is the issue
with implementing a software fix for a feature that other companies have
implemented years ago. Has this concern been addressed to your business and
IT departments? Is your company practicing Agile principles or
implementing DevOps practices? Your customers are speaking loudly asking
for this feature. What is impeding progress on this request ?
