Add a "Find my phone" app in the Fitbit App Gallery

We all misplace our phones from time to time. Since there is Bluetooth connection, it should be simple to reverse the notification and ring your phone. So long as the phone is within Bluetooth range, this should be a feature on the new Versa/Ionic.

Hi Mr Moderator,

If you review the comments you will hear loud and clear that folks are
frustrated that there has been no meaningful action and any time frame
shared by Fitbit regarding this long-time request.

Personally I have till January 7 to return my Charge 3, so the information
is time sensitive.

If u need the functionality of a "Find my phone/watch" dont look to Fitbit to accomplish anytime soon, its been years and still no show.

Given the charge 3 is so new I thought it would have this feature, along with much more. I am finding this device is incredibly limited and disappointing.

As stated previously, find my phone has been around for years on the other devices so why has it not been added fo fitbit? Definately needed!

I wanted the opposite to this the other week, find my fitbit. My band broke on my fitbit while working in the yard, I could connect to it in my front yard but not my back and about 50 meters down the road at the front of my house either way so I knew roughly where my fitbit was but after 10 hours of searching still couldn't find it... It might have helped to be able to make it vibrate or flash the screen.

A find your phone app should be added.

Going on four years ago that this was initially suggested. This is the only thing stopping me from ditching my Apple Watch - I am forever misplacing my iPhone and Find my Phone is a lifesaver. I'd have a Versa today if this was a feature that was available.

fitbit is the Apple iPhone of the health tracker industry. features that are literally on every other competitors device just seem to never reach this company's drawing table.   You cant always play safe in the tech world fitbit, if you do youre 3 cycles behind your competitors. Your "brand" can only get you so far.

They have trouble hearing you. Too much **ahem** (read: marketing goals to make money) on their mind. No time for actual longterm service.
A four-letter-word sentence comes to mind.

it's really amazing that this feature is requested since 2015 and has not yet been solved...

a quite simple workaround, at least for android smartphones, would be an ifttt integration
1. create an ifttt applet "if this (webhook) then that (android device (event - play music for exemple))" - 10min
2. create a small fitbit app with the "find my phone" button and taping on it to call the ifttt webhook url - 20-30min

A tad silly that this still isn't a thing.

It is simple and needed by most of your users.

I switched to an Apple Watch specifically for this feature. I’ve been missing my Fitbit watch but this feature is definitely a deal breaker. If this were made a feature on a Fitbit I would go back in a heartbeat.

My new Garmin Fenix 5 Plus does this. That’s another reason i switched...

It’s why i switched back to Garmin. Very sad though because Fitbit has so many positives.

Please do that. I am a new customer, coming from Apple Watch. I don't even understand why this is not a feature yet.

I really don't know if they're even monitoring this thread. It would be nice to see some sort of confirmation that they care or are doing something more than considering. How long does it take to consider? It's been under consideration for far too long. Rather ridiculous and losing customers quickly. I'm returning mine, based on the sole fact I haven't heard any communication on this years old issue which shows me they are not the best at customer service. Sad, I liked the look of it, but the functionality is lacking in a few areas and I just don't foresee anything changing due to this thread alone. Get it together Fitbit, epic fail.

Hahaha fitbit is ridiculous for not having this. I've had it in my Samsung watch for 4 years already and it's the most used feature on there outside of my step counter. I'd consider a fitbit if I didnt watch my wife struggle to find her phone every night even though she has had a fitbit on her wrist with a solid bluetooth connection for the same number of years. Fitbit is great as a health device but is seriously lacking in basic functionality when it comes to wearable technology. At this point I have to imagine the dev team at fitbit must be actively avoiding these obvious features to be missing something so fundamental. Even just reading this thread you can see dozens if not hundreds of users who have fled the product as a result. Perhaps samsung has a hidden controlling share in fitbit and is trying to force users to their product by actively blowing it on fitbit features..... oh well.... loving my samsung watch gen 2. Highly recommended to all users reading this thread.

I would really like this because i got my fitbit versa over the apple watch and it has find my phone feature and i was annoyed when it didnt have it

Hello community!

I believe that the only way to get this functionality is to advertise the lack of it outside the community 🙂

Here's my modest contribution:

Please share it and upvote, or even better write your own answer.

Thanks in advance!

Find my phone problem has been for almost 4 years now. Still nothing? No updates or dates on when they are going to implement it?

I am a previous Charge 2 and current Charge 3 user. This feature would be the decider to upgrade to a Versa

Can't believe it's not a function on FitBit. Even a knock-off fitbit (Amazfit) has it
