Add a "Find my phone" app in the Fitbit App Gallery

We all misplace our phones from time to time. Since there is Bluetooth connection, it should be simple to reverse the notification and ring your phone. So long as the phone is within Bluetooth range, this should be a feature on the new Versa/Ionic.

Is it true that Google bought Fit bit? Will they address this issue?

@cchettingerGoogle did buy FitBit, and they recently acquired Nest. So I am hoping Google looks into making these awesome improvements! I am mainly looking for find your phone and impact/fall sensor.

Every other major brand smart watch has this feature... My previous Samsung watch, my wife's Garmin, Apple, etc.

Please add.  This is a very useful tool.

Sad that this was suggested 5 years ago and nothing has been done.  Like others I would love this option and will probably take this into consideration when I replace my fitbit.

After some consideration, here's my thoughts: This feature will likely be the deciding factor on my next smartwatch purchase.   I like a lot of the functions of my Ionic, I like it's look and feel.I like it's battery life.  But as identified in my previous post this is the third most used app for my. For the Ionic to have the cost that it does and not include this as a standard feature is highly disappointing. Sure, I can purchase the third party app, and maybe I will, but i won't be happy about it. This just presents negative perception of value in this product that I could otherwise really get behind. That there's a thread that's about to be 5 years old with this request and no official responses other than the moderator's responses, who are likely tired of this subject and their inability to resolve it in a satisfactory way for the community other than to point out the existence of a third party app and consolidate all requests into this one aged mega-thread (the moderators from what I've observed do a decent job as best they can in this gargantuan community, keeping it tidy and organized) is both disappointing and illuminating and certainly doesn't invoke a feeling of good about this otherwise good brand.

Definitely need this. A simple feature to make phone ring even when on silent. All smart watches have this.

I abandoned the Samsung Frontier because the heart rate sensor was incredibly Inaccurately for me. I also despised the Smasumg Health app. Can’t fix erroneous entries when you forget to stop a workout. Fitbit and Garmin certainly have better Workout apps Than Samsung am Apple.

Can’t believe we still don’t have this feature! Was surprised to find it doesn’t exist as a first-time Fitbit user

I moved from an apple watch to a fitbit versa and miss this feature so much! Genuinely tempted to move back to my apple watch due to this missing feature. It should be so simple to implement!

Make the find my phone feature backward compatible with all fitbits in a software update, so you don't force us to buy a new fitbit!

I totally agree, but for the charge 3. I am testing whether or not I like it, but now that I found out there is no plan to implement this feature at all from to the other post, I am leaning towards just returning it all together. I misplace my phone allot,  and even more with a watch. This, the timeout, the limited clock faces, and connection issues age getting a bit annoying. I will give it a few more days because I do enjoy the watch otherwise. Allowing verified third party apps would solve allot of requests.

I recently got a Versa 2 and am loving the watch, except I was shocked to discover a "find my phone" feature isn't included or available, since every other smartwatch I've had has been able to do this easily. I periodically put my phone down somewhere around the house while doing chores and have difficulty finding it. It is so incredibly useful to use my watch to force my phone to make a noise so I can locate it, rather than endlessly retracing my steps until I find it on my own.

It sounds like this feature has been "under consideration" for over a year. Is it actually being worked on and have an ETA? This is the one feature I miss the most from my other watches...

The issue has most definitely not been solved as the 3rd party app is terrible. I just got this watch and didn't even consider this wouldn't be a feature. Please make this standard. I've spent so long looking for the right watch and this seems like such a relatively small fix.

Returning the Fitbit Charge 3 I got for Christmas and going back to Garmin. Why? No find a phone feature, no mindfulness feature, no ability to control music. It's not like these feature requests are new. Some of them are over 5 years old. I can't support a company that doesn't listen to its customers. Bye, Fitbit!

Versa 2 great watch tracker but definitely needs a find my phone option

Please add a feature to ping my phone if I misplace it. I switched back to Fitbit from an Apple Watch and this is the only thing I miss! It would also be very helpful if you could give us an update on this request since clearly it has been requested for almost five years now.

@1leaffan if you have a Versa product, the Find my phone app has been

Available since June of 2019, I use it to find my phone at least once a week.

@cchettinger. and @Bonacheeta Google has not bought Fitbit. They have only promised to acquire Fitbit.

Before this can happen it has to be approved by stock holders, and the US Government. There also is several countries other then the USA that is concerned over this merger.

@SunsetRunner I use the find my phone app on the Versa at least once a week and it hasn't failed to find my phone.

I don’t have a Versa and have seen several people who have them post looking for find phone option, I’m sure they would like to know how to get it. The next time I buy fitness watch I’ll buy one that has it, may well be something else than fitbit.
