Add a "Find my phone" app in the Fitbit App Gallery

We all misplace our phones from time to time. Since there is Bluetooth connection, it should be simple to reverse the notification and ring your phone. So long as the phone is within Bluetooth range, this should be a feature on the new Versa/Ionic.

It's elementary

It might be elementary but I'm not paying for a feature that should be in the watch....

What does "it's elementary" mean?  That it should be elementary to be a part of Fitbit and not a 3rd party add in?  If so, I totally agree.

Again - the Xiaomi Mi Band can be purchased for under $40 and it has this feature...

Sad that I paid so much more to go backwards in functionality. 😞

(the "sister app" doesn't work at all.)

I know this suggestion was made before, probably more that once.  The one I found was made over 5 years ago, with lots of posts added to it.   There are some responses about a 3rd party app that or may not work. We shouldn't have to use a poor 3rd party app. Many people asking for it. No response from fitbit. Is this typical  of their customer service? Many people posting their next purchase will not be fitbit because of this.  I'm with them.....maybe an apple watch!   Wake up fitbit.

Enable a find my phone feature using the fitbit versa 2. Most, if not all, other smart watches (even the cheaper ones) have this feature already.

Hi @SunsetRunner, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about being developing a feature to find a phone. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here to keep this board organized.

EdsonFitbit, Thanks for nothing.  this suggestion has been out here FOR 5+ years and as I posted fitbit has not responded.  I posted on a new one hoping it would get fitbit's attention.  Guess fitbit doesn't give a $&*$ about a lot of unhappy customers.  Instead of moving these around get fitbit to read them and respond.  One word for this forum useless.

I am still surprised given the amount of feedback and interest in "find my phone" that fitbit has not comment?

It is incredible that Versa 2 does not have this function !! disappointed with fitbit! I have provisionally solved it with an Alexa skill that calls me on the phone

David85, can you say how you put the “Alexa” skill on your watch? Thanks!

@Kandeesue in the alexa mobile application. I use it a lot with my amazon echo to find the mobile when I lose it, I say "alexa where is my mobile?" and call me to ring and find it. Well, from my verse 2, what I do is say the same thing but to the clock, and then the phone starts ring

same thing here with my  Google Home Assitant Speakers...mini, display etc...just say "hey google, find my phone". and it rings my phone ..funny every smart devise has this function but the fitbit.  Hopefully as Google, who now appearantly owns FB, gets more into the FB prorgaming, they will fix this.

When I I say "alexa where is my mobile?", I get the message "Calling with Alexa is not supported on this device...."

😞

I think that will only work with a Versa 2 and only if (the bigger "if" in this case) the two are talking with each other.

I have the Versa 2 - not sure what you mean by "the two are talking with each other"?

Your Versa 2 and phone are not fully communicating with each other.  It is a long term issue with the Fitbit smart devices.

Interesting - why would some phones communicate and not others?

Are there any things I might be able to try to rectify it?

Of course if FitBit would just do the right thing and put the function on the watch....
