Add a "Find my phone" app in the Fitbit App Gallery

We all misplace our phones from time to time. Since there is Bluetooth connection, it should be simple to reverse the notification and ring your phone. So long as the phone is within Bluetooth range, this should be a feature on the new Versa/Ionic.

I'm glad I might not be the only one that requires this function on my watch! It has been a life saver . As has using this function in the reverse in that I lost my watch behind a cupboard but found it because my phone could trigger it to make a noise!

Ridiculous! I see fitbit as.the best for.sports and versa has a very strong
design which I like it is incredible that they don't produce this.very easy
app/task - Find my phone.
And it is.also ridiculous that they don't reply us here

It's a good thing so many people support the find my phone function on a
Fitbit watch. Hopefully the Fitbit team will listen. I hope they don't make
the same mistake some other tech companies do. Customer care does matter.
In fact, it will be an important thing for me when buying my next
smartwatch. That and a good Google Fit integration.

So wait, is there an app on Fitbit for it?

The Fitbit Versa has just about everything it takes to become the best smartwatch fitness band hybrid, but it misses out this one rather simple feature

I wrote an entire blog about the Versa on travelwithstrangesisters so eventhough I had to put it away or an alternative that fits me better it was quite useful for the blog. But you guys are definitely right, if it was going to happen I think it would have happened long time ago!

My Moto 360 has this feature and I love it! That is really one of the only "big" features Fitbit is missing to make their products really really stand out on top of the rest.

It is really ridiculous in these days, that fit bit takes that time to
provide this feature

I would love to see this feature added to the Versa. It would be super convenient and a huge time saver. It would also go a long way in competeing with the apple and samsung watches of the world.

Where did you see it?

They should do that on all the watches with Bluetooth. I have lost misplaced my phone at my house before, but I have an Alta, so that wouldn't be useful to me.

I use to say 'Hi Google' then ask her something and follow her voice.

Now i ask Bixby to rap or beatbox for me,

Please enable a Find my Phone app/feature. This would be a big selling point for Fitbit.

Keeping Pace

Missing the Find my phone feature was almost a deal break for me when I decided to ditch my Pebble Time.  I use it multiple times a days as I don't almost keep my phone in my pocket at home.

After doing some research myself on why this feature is missing, I found out that it is probably not intentional, but due to technical difficulty.  I am currently using Switchr to "sorta" add the Find my Phone function to my watch, but it only works 50% of the time, so basically useless.  The problem is, our Ionic watch does not keep a consistent bluetooth connection to the phone (yes I enabled "Always connected"), and the watch itself cannot reinstate the connection when the BLE slips into sleep mode - only the phone side app can wake up the connection.  Because of that, the Switch app is basically broken, and "Find my phone" won't be possible.  This issue is probably difficult to solve, given that this feature has been avidly requested for more than 4 years and yet we haven't seen it.  Keeping a true constant connection to the phone probably will diminish the watch's battery life dramatically.

That is a really useful point regarding it impacting battery life. I presumed there was a technical reason for not having this function but I am not techy enough to have worked out that detail. Thank you

It's not about battery life. My partner has a hybrid watch from Diesel and
the function there is working fine. That watch has no rechargeable
batteries and the battery only has to be replaced once a year. And yes, it
has almost all things a Fitbit watch has.

This is a feature I would also like to see. Would be very helpful in the morning when getting ready for work.

Had the Pebble Time Steel, have the Versa now. One of the biggest things making me miss the Pebble is the Find my Phone feature. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

I'm honestly shocked this app wasn't one of the first included.
