Add altimeter to the Inspire series trackers

I'd like you to consider adding the altimeter to the new inspire HR.  I guess I thought that was just a given to have that option.  I currently have the Blaze but wanted something smaller and thought the Inspire HR was perfect till I read that it doesn't have an altimeter.  I run stairs as part of my regular work out so I really need this option.

It would be great to have a clipon fitbit that tracks floors. Really sorry you don't have the "One" anymore 😞

I would like the Inspire 2 to add the capability to count the number of flights of stairs (floors) that I climb each day.

I want to count flights of stairs AND wear my Fitbit on a clip. I have an Apple Watch but liked the stair feature of my Fitbit one better. The One won’t hold a charge any more, so I upgraded to an Inspire 2, which has a bunch of crap I don’t want (duplicates watch) but one critical feature I assumed was basic - stairs - is missing. Disappointed!!!!

Please bring back the stairs climbed feature to the slimmer trackers. I plan my daily walks for the most hill option route possible and wear the Inspire for HR tracking and the old FitBit One for flights climbed. It would be wonderful if my next FitBit could combine features

The old Fitbit One measured steps. It's not made anymore, so I bought the Inspire 2. I use a clip and keep it in my pocket. It doesn't measure steps. That's a design flaw in my opinion.

Hi @BermudaBob  not all the devices have an altimeter and it seems to keep the cost lower for those styles. Some of us don't need or use the flights of stairs, so it's not as important. I know it's hard for the One people to find their dream device. Never had a One, but so many did love it.

Hi @BermudaBob. Thank you for sharing your Feature Suggestion with the Fitbit Community. Before anything else let me clarify your Inspire 2 is able to track your steps, as well as other stats throughout the day. To learn more about it, please check this help article.

On the other hand, if you refer to a different stat, please reply with more detail or specifics on what you mean by not measuring your steps, or what problem this is trying to solve. This will help us to understand this idea better. We look forward to your response.

I apologize.  I wasn't clear.  Yes, it measures steps.  I meant it doesn't measure stairs, which the Fitbit One did.  Apparently the Inspire 2 doesn't have an altimeter in it.  That's a shame.

It seems every new device you add more JUNK & take away stuff that was useful. Many people have complained & asked for the altimeter to be returned & your standard reply is that it's not planned thanks for posting. The inspire replaced the ONE in size but not comparable features. Please Give the Inspire the Altimeter.

Disappointing to find no floor count on Inspire 2 after replacing my old Charge 2 that had that useful function. Retrograde unwelcome loss.

@MarkInspire2  there is no altimeter in the Inspire 2, so it won't ever be able to notice flights of stairs.

Inspire 3 should track hills and stairs. Otherwise just a glorified pedometer. I paid for an Inspire 3 and subscription and I am very disappointed that I cannot see badges one or utilize all it has to offer. I had original fitbit with clip and it tracked everything. Badges worth something. And was inspiring. The Inspire 3 is not. Crazy.

As a longtime One user due to the clip vs. band & ‘floors Altimeter’ & having an issue with the App tracking the One- I purchased Inspire3 thinking it would have basics on it - steps, cals, dist, activity lvls, & FLOORs. To my surprise it does not. An altimeter is a basic stat. It should be on this device as this is ur only Clip equiv to the One.
