Add new lifetime steps, floors and distance badges

I hit Pole to Pole and Satellite more than 2 and 3 years ago. I just purchased my umteenth tracker - the Charge 4. I want some motivation to stay on this platform vs moving to Garmin - how about some new distance and stair badges to brag about.

The highest level presently is “Pole to Pole.” It seems a shame not to have only other level that would appropriately complete all the logical distances.

I will add my voice to the more than Pole2Pole requests. I received mine yesterday, was happy about getting it but then started thinking about options and the only one that appears to work is to wipe all my account data and start all over with a new account.

That doesn’t seem like the right thing to do but these posts go back a few years with Fitbit doing nothing about adding new distance badges so that may be the only choice- or dump it and start using my Apple Watch.

Please give us more lifetime badges after Pole to Pole! The circumference of the earth is one possibility.

Is fitbit considering to add new distance and step badges ? Any update ?

They also have removed 2 existing Africa and Russian Railway badges without replacing them 😞

Other than minion badges , I don't see any new badges being added for distance.

I switched to an Apple Watch. More badges than I can achieve

That’s exactly what I am doing. When my current Fitbit plays out I will be done unless more distance badges are added.

Like others - I have the Satellite and Pole-to-Pole badges, and would like to see more... Seems silly that there aren't more achievements available to your most loyal customers. Literally, it's just picking a larger arbitrary number, associating that distance with something (Fiber-optic Link Around the Globe (FLAG) 17,398 miles; the circumference of Earth is about 24,901; and all the way up to Voyager 1 at a distance of 14.5 billion miles away from Earth), drawing a picture, and coding it into the backend... I mean google bought Fitbit a year and a half ago, and since that time there have been few additional retention perks added for existing users! They've only recently added Fitbit to Google Fit integration via assistant - but it's not really a change from Fit to Fit... Add more badges - it shouldn't be hard...

Fitbit, please add more badges. I only have pole to pole left to get for distance and would love to see new badges(:

This has been an active request for a few years already. Fitbit doesn’t respond

Tropic of Capricorn, which is slightly more than the Tropic of Cancer is a good badge at 22,859 miles. Then could follow the Equator badge at 24, 901 miles. I hereby proclaim them. Fitbit doesn't care about its users just its money.

I agree with more badges.  I too have spent tons on multiple fit bit trackers. (about 10) a few were gifts.  However, if there is no incentive to stay with fit bit, like new goals, I am tempted to move to a new brand.

I still use the FitBit Zip to count steps-more accurate than my Apple Watch Ultra.  But, the Health app on the Ultra is great.  I've found the Ultra doesn't count all the steps.  There's a big difference between the zip which is located on my hip and the Ultra on my wrist.

More badges would be great. I did like the Minions badge. I have a bad knee now and I can just make that first minions badge each day- seems silly but it does cheer me up. It's been years since I got the last of the lifetime achievement awards. Not likely to pass my current bests due to health.

Is it easily possible to have too many badges? They are easy to create and deploy. Fitbit software engineers are probably busy integrating with Google and forcing customers to use their Google accounts to use Fitbit devices now, but sometime it would be great to have more badges! A Million steps, 5 and 10 million steps, and more distance badges beyond only halfway around the world! Longest flight ever recorded, longest commercial flight available, circumference of the moon, and of course walking around the world. Walking across Alaska, the 48 contiguous states between 2 major cities, walking across various other continents. Superficial badges like these that are based of geographical facts and that aren’t at a rounded number give specificity to what one has accomplished, and are really a great motivator not only to stay fit and keep walking/running/etc, but also to stay with the Fitbit platform which is frankly already somewhat less attractive now that it is owned by Google.

Add me to the add around the world badge group. I would also like to see Africa and Russian Railroad brought back. I'm at 19,000 miles as I write this.

I'd like to see this too! It's been over 4 years since this request was raised; and with more and more long-term fitbit users we'd all like to see more badges!

I'm also not a fan of how all badges are now visible in the new app update. I likes the surprised of unexpectedly being awarded a new badge; clearly seeing everything that's possible to be awarded takes the fun out of it.

I've been requesting additional lifetime miles badges for years. What seems to be the holdup? How could this be so difficult?

Please add additional Fitbit distance badges.

It seems crazy to me that there is a badge for 100,000 steps in a day which I seriously doubt that anyone would even get, yet many people have been requesting additional distance badges with no action on the part of Fitbit.  Not sure why you wouldn’t want to make your customers happy.  It can’t be a very tough thing to do.

Hey @pjscurly, they simply don't care. FitBit is probably being phased out by Google who probably wants everyone to use their watches. They got the tech from the company and now are going to gradually kill it off so they don't have a competitor. There's really no other reason to completely ignore their fan base than that. It's their business. it's their money. It might be the right move in the long run. I don't know. I have no desire for a smartwatch so I don't know what I'm going to do when they get rid of FitBit. We'll see. It's been a fun 9 years with them so far. I wish we had challenges still as it's lonely doing it completely alone and more badges but oh well. Good luck.
