Add option to recalculate lifetime step streak

Fitbit stopped displaying the current step streak a few months ago (when I was at over 800). They restored the function, but the counter reset from when the function was restored. I believe Google has all my data. Would it be possible for Fitbit to calculate the accurate streak?

I would also like for this to happen.  You all promised to restore our step streaks from before the stupid app update.  You kept that promise for some, but not everyone.   I was almost to 1000 days when you updated the app.  A few months later, the streak portion was restored, but for me it just started over.  You obviously still have the data, so I don't understand why you can't fix this for everyone.

It's been about 4 months and I'm still waiting for this to happen.  You have about 2 months before my premium renews.  If the streak is restored before then I'll renew it, otherwise I won't.

Yes bring back the step streak!!! The only metric I cared about. The info is there by month so I know it’s available. Been waiting 5 months and have been told “they’re working on it” and “they’re unable to fix it”. Not sure which is true. Maybe neither.

I was also promised my streak would be restored and based on that promise bought a new fitbit. My streak is currently showing 105 days - it is 1070 short of correct. Please fix this - you have all the data!!!

The last time I heard from support on Dec 13, 2023: "Thank you for contacting Fitbit, We are still working on your case, right now we are having some issues on the streak, is not only your case and is an issue of the Fitbit app."

I really want to see the Step Streak put back in - in a prominent and fun way.

And why not add the disco ball again too.

Isn't the whole point to motive (and collect data)?

The same for me.  I am almost 1300 consecutive days from my history with Fitbit before the new release - today it shows 111 days - which is when the new release happened.  On the app I can see the history so I know that it is here.  I prefer not to do the manual tracking but obviously this has been going on for almost three months now and............

Good luck to us all.  I hope Google will listen and let us go back to the previous features.  They were great

My step streak reset to 2 consecutive days from over 200. I’ve walked over 10k steps for months.
PLEASE provide a fix for this. It would be wonderful if Fitbit would add a daily step streak counter reset tool similar to what My Fitness Pal offers. This is important to many users.

I clicked your link where you moved my post and I feel like I'm going around in circles. There is no option to add my vote.

In any case, I am requesting a "streak counter reset tool" so that even if we log at least 10K steps on our device but are unable to sync to our phone for whatever reason, the data is still held on the device and we can use the "streak counter reset tool" to reset our streak.

Twice my streak has reset. I've made at least 10K steps since October 16, 2023. I want to be able to request a reset to my streak to the correct number of days - 330. Today it says my streak is... 5 days.

Fix my step streak please.  I am on day 758 but the app is telling me I’m on day TWO.  I have achieved my goal every day since December 7, 2022.  WHY is this still not fixed all these years later?!?  This is completely unacceptable, and judging by moderator lizzy’s response, nobody at Fitbit cares.  This is the second time my step streak has been reset when it shouldn’t have been.  FIX IT!!!

Fix my step streak please.  I’m on day 777, not 20.  You guys aren’t even bothering to respond to people anymore.  You have all of the data that says I’ve gotten over 10k steps every day starting on December 7, 2022.  An acknowledgment would be appreciated.  Your silence is telling me that you guys just plain do not care.  Instead of continuing to tell people you’re working on a fix, just admit that you have no intention of doing so.  It’s been at least FOUR YEARS that you’ve known about this issue.

My daily step streak keeps resetting, even though I have met my daily goal for over 10 years now. When I started using the mobile app (since the web dashboard was discontinued), my daily step streak was a nice motivation, to see how many days straight I had met the goal. Then with no explanation, it reset one day. So I started over again. Then it did it again, and again, and again. It keeps resetting, even though I meet my goal every day, and my device syncs to the mobile app many times every day. I wish there was a way for the app to see the data, and display the correct info.

In my case the streak reset happened when I had to switch my watch from one type to the other. Data in the app shows the streak criteria was met every day. Isn't this a bug? So, I don't quite follow why voting criteria is being attached to this issue. We are not asking for a new feature.

The feature that I would be requesting is an action button that lets me request the option to recalculate my daily streak in the mobile app. Especially, since the data in the app and my account proves that I have met my goal, and if the 'bug' keeps restarting my daily step streak for no apparent reason, I would like to ask the app to calculate my streak again.

These resets happen even if I have not changed equipment or account settings.

I finally gave up on these people.  I was on day 797 when I ended up sick in bed for a couple days and actually lost my streak.  Gave my Fitbit to my teenage son and got a ring instead.  Best decision I could’ve made !  They are not gonna fix it, y’all.  They DO NOT CARE about your streak, they don’t care to fix it, they don’t even respond to comments.  I specifically asked customer service to manually adjust my step streak to the correct number of days, and they said they weren’t capable of doing it.  They can’t/won’t fix it, and they’ll never admit it.  Otherwise they’d lose more customers.  I know I’ll never buy a Fitbit product again.  And it’s too bad really, because the device wasn’t the problem.  The crappy app and equally crappy customer service was.
