Add other options such as "sitting" or "doing dishes" to erase steps

If there is no option to delete erroneous steps taken (this would be the best option in my opinion), or to turn of step counter, it may be a simple solution to add more exercises other than just "driving" - like "sitting" or "doing dishes" - or allow for manually naming your exercises

I agree this needs to be done for fitbit and charge 3 too.

First Steps

On that note, The stupidist thing Ive ever seen whjile testing out a fitbit for a study in. IM a biker and apparenlty my pedal revolutions  are counting as steps. I thought I was mistaken so today I stared at my  fitbit Sense as I rode and watched my steps go rapidly  higher with every turn of the pedals. This is FALSE data and should of been corrected a long time ago.   A pedal turn is NOT a step . Ive seen quite a few people complaining about this issue online in other forums and none of you "advisors" helping beyond saying "well take it under advisement " . I was told to "manually add my bike ride date.. um UH?! WHY would I do that, it defeats half the reason id wear a monitor.  NO help at all. I actually  just screen shot the  app and my dashboard on fitbit.com . Its quite bemusing to read todays results.  It lists all my walking  which was about 4k . then it says "no data" by steps during my biking periods.  YET I have a total of 13, 800 STEPS  so explain to me WHERE all those steps are hidden?

the only way to fix this is as the OP said, TURN OFF step counter when one is doing activites where taking steps is not involved. I got the fitbit to use for free in the test, but I would not buy one (or an apple as i see it has the same issue) if i ever decided to spend money on one . Right now the indep bike app  i use is more accurate.

I also dont want to have to start deleting steps or hiding it in things such as doing dishes (how is that helpful?)
