Add subtitles/closed captions to video and audio content on Fitbit Premium

It would be useful to add the option to use/see subtitles during workouts. They are talking and I can't understand them sometimes, and the words on the screen are not everything that is mentioned. (Note that this is not only for Fitbit coach workouts, but all workouts accessable from the Fitbit app).

This thread is dating back three years and there are many responses, yet from what I see, FitBit are not doing anything about it.

For something owned by Google, they should be accessible and thinking of all users, not just the non-disabled ones.

I really struggled with the first running workout of Week 2 of Beginner’s Running yesterday because the background music was SO LOUD that I could not hear the first instructor. Captions would’ve helped me out a lot.

Wanted to do a stretching workout afterwards, but the instructors were too far away to lip read and it’s too small on the iPhone. Once again, captions would help immensely.

Please put captions up, FitBit!

This isn't a matter of 'hey the community decides'. This is a failure to provide appropriate accessibility options, as I've highlighted previously. I discontinued my Premium subscription for this reason, and now intend to make a formal complaint regarding the matter.

The Fitbit Mission Statement:

"Our Mission

To empower and inspire you to live a healthier, more active life. We design products and experiences that fit seamlessly into your life so you can achieve your health and fitness goals, whatever they may be."

Frankly, it is a grave disservice to users - some of whom will purchase the devices for the additional workout programs and guidance - to claim a Mission statement like the above only to neglect placing accessibility at the core of your offerings. I'm certain 'empowered' isn't the emotion being experienced when someone with sensory difficulties begins a workout or meditation only to discover that they cannot follow it due to being unable to hear the content - and have no captionining to assist.

Whilst it would be wonderful to have more individuals backing this thread - besides the point, really, since this isnt really a matter of 'user suggestions' - I really hope that most with these difficulties can avoid being made aware of yet another company who finds their access requirements to be too much work, or optional. It's an incredibly disheartening feeling, and something which sadly comes up frequently when you have disabilities or ongoing health difficulties. Quite the opposite of 'empowered'.
