Add water aerobics to the Exercise app

I am a water fitness instructor in Florida, and I have used Fitbit products for several years, currently the Charge 5. I have noticed that class participants with Apple fitness products have the option to choose some type of water fitness as an exercise option on their smart watches, and I would like this option added.

I'm with donab163. As a 70 yr old, I walk 2 miles 3 times a week and added water aerobics to give my joints a rest while still getting movement and balance. I have a Versa 2 and if I need to upgrade to get that feature I would do it in a heartbeat! Thanks!!

I also do water aerobics twice a week and would love to see this added.
Thanks!

I would like to see this added as well. I use a Sense 2.

I completely agree. Who on earth at Fitbit thought this was an improvement. It's simply awful.

Definitely'd use arthritis/water aerobics on my fitbit Charge 5. My knees are affected.

Definitely add aqua aerobics to the fitbit range of exercise.

I do use the aerobic /workout function when I am doing an aqua class but it would be better if it was on the list to differentiate it.

I'm currently wearing a Charge 6 and have been using fitbits for years. But if I can't record all my exercises I may consider changing to a device that will.

I’ve been doing water aerobics two to three times a week for 2 years since everything opened up after Covid.  I just purchased the Fitbit Charge 6 (I had the Charge 4 but it just died) which has a plethora of exercises from which to choose but not Water Aerobics.  I’ve been using the workout option but think that since “swim” is an option so should water aerobics.  Please strongly consider adding it to the list of exercises.

I asked this question to ffitbit support and was sent here to comment. I see this question was asked over a year ago and several people have commented but Fitbit has still not added water aerobics to the watch. Please add water aerobics to the watches

  • This is something needed both for injured athletes who recover in the pool and Seniors. Doesn't seem like it would be such a difficult thing to add.

I agree! Having just had a total knee replacement my PT said this would
be a huge help in recovery. I've been asking that water aerobics be
added for over five years now! Hope this gets it done! Thanks!
