Add your own exercises to the shortcut list

Could it be possible to make exercise shortcuts completely customizable?

Currently I can't add cross country skiing to the list for an example.

Also it's not possible to use workout as this doesn't measure distance with GPS, stride is not usable for distance measuring for this sport.

Option one would be to make it possible to add your own exercises to the shortcuts, in this case cross country skiing with GPS measuring.

Secondary option would be to add workout with GPS as this is the only post workout  name changeable exercise.

Best option of course would be completely user changeable shortcuts as the options currently are very limited and it would leave the hassle out post workout.

I have added several custom workouts to my Fitbit web dashboard like P90X and Beat Saber but I cannot add these to my actual fitbit watch as exercise shortcuts. 😞  The exercise shortcuts you guys have are limited and we really need the ability to add a custom exercise shortcut to the fitbit app so then we can select it quickly from our Fitbit devices when starting that exercise. Seems very simple to do and very frustrating to not be able to select what I want but instead have to go into the web interface every week and try and edit all my workouts to the correct custom workout I did. Thanks!

Love tracking my workouts with Fitbit, but would really like to be able to specifically name each one.

I’d like to be able to go back and look at my stats from previous workouts and know if it was a leg day, core day, etc but am unable to remember which day was what since you can’t give it a name or provide a summary or note

I would like to be able to select/access my customized workouts from my fitbit when I'm about to do my workouts instead of having to log them on the dashboard.  It would be good to see what specific types of workouts burn the most calories.

Also I would like to more than 6 Available Exercise Shortcuts.

The offered exercise shortcuts are fine, and I understand how not every exercise activity that your clients engage with could ever be anticipated. However I'd like to be able to "copy" an existing shortcut and rename to something else for permanent reuse. It's too unwieldy for me to go into the website after the fact and constantly rename the past activities to some other name over and over. I play Pickleball three times a week and do Ballroom Dancing twice a week. Instead of using Tennis and Spinning for these activities like I do now I like to name my own templates/shortcuts and just use them each time.

This enhancement is likely a simple feature add and would be applicable to a large majority of your user base, I suspect. BTW, my Microsoft Band that was replaced by my current Versa always had this feature, so to me it doesn't seem to be an unreasonable request. Thanks for your consideration.

It would be helpfull if it was possible to give workouts a name of your own. Now you can only choose from the existing types of sports. For example I follow youtube videos and would like to put the name of the video as workout title so that I can look back and still know what workout I did that day. Now that isn't possible since it are only the generic names.

I hope to see you around.

I've seen a lot of people with their various reasons for wanting their fitbit to stop counting steps, such as playing piano or drums. These activities do burn calories, but don't actually require steps. Maybe including a "pause steps " feature with an adjustable automatic length of time. Maybe have it alert you when that time is up and you can hit "snooze" or something to continue pausing if you need to.

My other idea is that you can allow people to create their own custom workout online and have them be able to start them from their device. The activity building process should have the option to "not count steps when activity is live".

This would allow for people to choose a name for a workout that doesn't currently exist e.g. exercise/medicine ball.

It would be great if you could manually log exercises that aren't included in the app. I currently do Yoga and QiGong but can only log the Yoga exercise type.

Edit the list of default list of exercises to (i) exclude those I never do and (ii) list my most common ones. Alternatively 'learn' from my entries to tailor the list to the ones that I use repeatedly.

I would like to see if Charge 4 can allow me to make a personalized exercise. It will be great if I can make a "Motorbiking" and "Driving" exercise which record the data I want such as speed, heartrate, GPS mapping, time, etc. Something like what "Bike" exercise is recording.

Hi, I have added Dance and Nia as “customised exercise types”. I find that I cannot use these as “exercise shortcuts”?
So I use workout instead but then have to edit my exercise log after every class.

I too won like to add cross county skiing as an activity

I was curious why there is no exercise option for Zumba or for any type of dancing exercises? I am completely baffled that your customer service rep told me to use the “workout” option when it’s not a normal workout. If you honestly think about this, more people dance rather than golfing or playing tennis. Please add Zumba or just dancing as an exercise option.

All activities listed in the activity search should be able to be added to your shortcuts on the watch. I am an avid skater and I want to be able to directly categorize this activity. Currently I have to record it as a workout and after the fact go into the activity and select categorize activity and then search for roller skating
