Alarm Should Vibrate Until Dismissed (on Fitbit devices)

The silent alarm in a tracker buzzes only for few times and then stops vibrating. It should vibrate until stopped by the user. Thank You

I got my Blaze two days ago and slept through the alarm both mornings. The Charge HR I had before gave me a very deep vibration can the vibration on the Blaze be adjusted? I need more than a tap on the arm from my alarm.

Just woke up late on my first morning with Blaze because of this. I imagine this is an easy fix. Please Help Fitbit!
I loved the new snooze feature IDEA but What is the point of a snooze option if your alarm stops before you can even hit the button??

The Fitbit Blaze is advertised as waking you up, but... it doesn't. This needs immediate fix, otherwise, the alarm is useless if you're sleeping.

I am a heavy sleeper. With my phone alarm I usually have to set multiple alarms and sometimes after the minute or so that they are going off they turn off on their own before I even wake up. How can I expect to wake up to a few vibrations in my arm that stop after a few seconds?  If it kept going until I manually stopped it, the alarm would be a lot more effective.

Agreed this needs to be fixed. I easily sleep through this 15 sec vibration. Since the surge has the touch screen fitbit should incorporate something similar to the "connect the dot" phone unlock. That would be awesome!

DPhy, that's a brilliant idea! I think that merits its own thread even 🙂 I totally think that should be an option

Stronger and longer vibrations, and the connect the dot suggestion gets my vote!
I just recently switched from the Charge HR to the Blaze..and I haven't awoke to a silent alarm yet.

Agree with all. I have the surge and the alarm is great, the Blaze not at all. Weak and easily missed whether sleeping or not. Please fix this feature, a lot of us rely on it!

Agreed. I would also be interested in a feature that wakes you in the ideal part of your sleep cycle like Jawbone does.

Fitbit- please allow the silent alarm to continue until the snooze button is hit! The sound of the vibration is stronger than the vibration itself and that's not saying much.

Three weak vibrations isn't enough to wake me up in the morning. Please fix this with a firmware update to keep vibrating untill the snooze button is pressed.

Thumbs up for the continuous Vibration until snoozed or turned off. This applies for Fitbit Surge as well, the silent alarm is a great feature yet it has to be improved in a way that it can keep vibrating until turned off manually or sensing actual movement and activity, like 20+ steps or else, better configurable from the app.

I totally agree! I have a charge! And I slept right through my alarms but if they made it where it would just keep buzzing I know that I would wake up!

I agree.

Getting up to exercise before the work day can easily interupt your partner.

FitBit Blaze could use a longer vibration for the alarms to ensure that you are awake when the alarm goes off.

Please! If someone were to set the alarm for a specific time, there's no reason that it should stop ringing only after a few seconds. I would understand maybe like a two minute timeout for the alarm in case the blaze was left off. Maybe even a customizable timeout time would be great!

Agreed most with Salimos. Love my Surge. I go to bed early, but still hate waking up early and it's always difficult to stay in that routine when life can change day to day or week to week based on work/life obligations. Adding a feature that requires the wearer to actually get up and do something such as take a user set number of steps until the silent alarm actually turns off for that morning. That would definitely get me out of bed when I know I need to.

The Alta needs a firmware update for this as well. I almost always sleep through both alarms that I set on the Alta (close together) and still need to use my phone alarm. I don't even feel it by the time it stops buzzing.

Yes, yes please!!  Continuous buzzing until acknowledged is really necessary for an alarm.  Even better -- progressively increasing intensity of buzzing until acknowleged.

Ditto on an update that causes the vibration of the silent alarm to continue until action is taken by the wearer to press snooze or off.

The idea of being able to lock the screen is great. I often find the screen paused unintentionaly when playing squash and tennis.

The vibration issue is raised continually and Fitbit seem to ignore the problem. I understand that it is a mechanical issue and can not be resolved. However some control on the period of vibration eally could help.

Similar request for the Snooze Alarm behaviour on the Charge2.

The silent alarm should continually vibrate until some action is taken, either to cancel it or snooze it, in which case it goes off again in 9 minutes time (as many time as necessary, until physically cancelled).

Ideally it should be one action for dismiss/snooze (i.e. tap the screen to surpress vibration, get another 9 minutes "snooze", and repeat as desired), and another to cancel - button press/50+ steps = no further alarm.

This is how the ChargeHR worked (at least as far as the screen tap/button/number of cycles), but on the Charge2 if the alarm isn’t dismissed, the snooze alarm will automatically go off only once after 9 minutes, not multiple times. Also, the vibration lasts only a finite time (too short in my opinion, and it seems many other people agree), whereas it used to vibrate until supressed (by methods described above) on the HR.

Configurable snooze duration, vibration length/pattern/intensity would also be useful features once the basic snooze is fixed.

I wish I could set the silent alarm to keep vibrating until I push the button. Sometimes three buzzes isn't enough to wake me up in the morning

Definitely not long or strong enough. Very disappointed after upgrading from the Charge HR.

Or even an alarm that doesn't stop until you log like 20 steps or something!
