Allow Customers to choose between Dashboards

In the latest update of the Fitbit app, the Dashboard that customers interact with daily underwent a huge visual downgrade. It is far less appealing to look at, and harder to quickly see where you are with your daily goals. Please allow Customers to choose their dashboard, similar to how customers can choose their fitbits clock faces. It makes sense to at least allow a choice between the new version and the old version of the dashboard. PLEASE consider this.

To Vote for a choice between the new and old dashboard, go to "Feature Suggestions" - then "Allow customers to choose between dashboards" should be near the top of the list.

The new dashboard interface is more like a menu than a dashboard.  I cannot believe how much I dislike this.  I installed the upgrade without knowing that they would change a feature that actually led me to purchase a Fitbit.  I contacted Fitbit through chat and registered my complaint once I found out that there is no way to go back to the old version.  They suggested I vote on this community webpage to ask for the ability to get back the old dashboard - seems like a rather ineffective way to request changes.  I will now go on to the App store and give it a 1-star.  I was considering the Apple watch since it is waterproof.  I guess I need to give it another look.  Really hate the dashboard, hard to believe that I dislike it so much that I contacted Fitbit and am writing this now.

I agree. I'm so sad I can't revert back to the old dashboard.  I hate that the week day challenges clutter up the screen and you can't minimise them. I hate that I can't take a screen shot of all my days achievements because they are scattered everywhere and that we dont get the green celebration when I hit my targets.

Currently the app me the User Interface are independent and unrelated.

As for the feature board this has been setup for the ability to take a poll as to what people would like. The biggest problem is that there is no way to give a thumbs down and recently we have had updates voted in by the few and no-one ha liked them.

Please, please, please bring back the old dashboard or make a new old like the old one, the current one is so unmotivating.

I'd like the old app back. This one doesn't even have an option on the front page to force a sync. It's buried way to far. Not a fan.

While I personally like the new dashboard, I also feel that it would be nice to give the people who don't the choice on whether or not they want to return to the old dashboard.

Chatted with customer support and suggested I come here. I see many others feeling the same as me. I was not asked to upgrade, it just appeared. I like the old layout better, was much easier to see where I wanted to go. DISLIKE VERY MUCH!!!

My apple iphone app seems to have changed today on its own. O simply refreshed it and viola I have the new  app face whcih is far less visible or organized as the old one was. I really dislike the new set up where I have to look on multiple screens to see the information I want. Hate iy.

I really do NOT like the dashboard update, the old one was much easier for me to follow and watch my progress throughout the day.  The ease of tracking progress throughout the day is one of main reasons I choose this fitness tracker.  I sincerely hope you can offer choice of returning to old format. I don't want to start the search all over again for a fitness tracker I can follow.

How many 1-star application votes will it take for you to realize that most people hate the dashboard change so much that they are planning on buying an Apple, Samsung, or Garmin watch?  No one is consolidating all these community posts, which all are requesting the ability to use the old interface.  The Developer comments generally are not responsive to the issue.  This is an archaic way to request anything, especially the unwinding of a feature that was changed without request or knowledge of the user.

The new app is awful.  Please either give us the choice to return to the earlier version or, at the very least, let us pick color schemes or themes.  The update is ugly and boring.  I don't even want to open the app to check it during the day.  If I had been given the opportunity to preview this new version, I would never have changed.  As it is, I wasn't even given the choice.  It updated without warning.

I initially chose not to upgrade only to have the changes forced on me yesterday. I'm very unhappy. I tried complaining to support and was told to come here. Less information can be seen on the screen at the time while the font size is actually smaller in many cases and the "discover" section that can't be dismissed takes up too much space at the bottom. This means that trying to scroll down to other items in the list (because at most I can see 5 at a time) generally involves zooming past anything I want and landing in the wasted discover zone. I must therefore conclude that although we are given the option to have 8 items on the home screen we are expected to reduce it to 5 or less. I find the whole new look very ugly but I could get used to the look if the functionality had stayed the same or improved but they've reduced the amount of information seen on the home screen and replaced it with wasted space. I've already 1-starred the app and will be leaving it that way unless the app experience is improved for me, either by allowing to revert back to the old design or reinstating the functionality of the old design. Don't make me scroll like this to use your product. I definitely won't be looking at another Fitbit to replace my current one if this doesn't change.

Please return to the old app design, it was much easier to quickly look at my stats, now i have to scroll to see everything! it is horrible!! I may go back to using my Polar at this rate! If it's not broke, don't fix it!!

I also wasn't even given the option to change to it, it just appeared about an hour or so after i had last looked at it.

I absolutely HATE the new design, please listen to your customers and change it back!!

I hate the new dashboard! The old was sooooooo good! I don’t see the point of changing it! In only like the battery feature. Apart from that it really bad!

Woke up today to the new dashboard.  I hate it.  I have been a fit bit user for years but this will be my last if they don't give us the option to go back to the old dashboard.  Just like another user, I have no desire to open my app.  I am in shock that they think this is better and more intuitive?  This only pushes me to get the apple watch that I have been eyeing but was loyal to fit bit for the challenges with my friends and other features like the "at a glance" but with this change, I will be ditching the fit bit if they don't make some changes and allow for you to decide what dashboard you want to use.

I totally agree with you!! I have had a Fitbit for years!! My first was a flex!! I have also been thinking of a an Apple Watch as well since it will sync with Beachbody workouts and I have an iPhone!!
I HATE the new dashboard!!

Sent from my iPhone

The new dashboard was forced on me, this morning. It immediately felt like a massive step back.

1) There is no ability to change the font size. (Really lame)

2) The battery icon only displays when syncing (may be I'd like to know how the battery is when I look at the phone)

3) The font is both huge and illegible - Apple manage to get 10 times more information across the top in the same real estate.

4) The icons are huge - the point of icons is to save space.

5) Fitbit knew how to do this in a smart way before - did you fire your best designers?

6) It would be so easy to reduce the size down so you can have today items in a side by side display.

7) You could merge the top two lines and have the date on the same line as the word "fitbit"

😎 do you really need the word "fitbit" - your icon is enough (and be smaller)

9) Do you really need the word discover at the end of the today items - you already have it on the menu.

Seems I was not the only person that found the layout had changed, without installing any updates within the last few days & not knowingly elected to change layout!

Whilst we appreciate that of course there is always work taking place to improve the products,  to force the new layout (with the scrolling requirement, not to mention other shortcomings which have been mentioned over the last number of pages)  seems bizarre.

Aspects of the new layout may indeed appear more modern,  but it seems that most of us just want a single page (err - dashboard!)  with relevant details.

Don't want to sound like some fuddy-duddy,  but would be good to have the option to revert / customise the view to the previous layout.

Disappointed for now, although hopefully public opinion will count for something...?

Hello Fitbit?

new dashboard sucks.  with as well as you've done on everything else, how did you do this?  hard to read summaries.  can't see my progress on x out of y hours step goal met.  if I'm frustrated in seeing these, I won't use it.  battery life is dwindling, I'm likely to look elsewhere for a tracking device...

Automatically started using new dashboard today with update. Like majority of other comments do not like it! It is not user friendly, Now have to scroll down banners to see anything & definitely not appealing to look at. Previous version was so much easier to use & see clearly, the new design shows everything too small.

I concur. The original "at a glance" layout was easy to use on the fly. The new layout is not used friendly or efficient. If I wanted something like this new layout, I would buy a Garmin.

Today I was surprised by the colour and style changes on my Iconic/Fitbit site.  Give me back my old colours (love the green and red) which are much easier to distinguish accomplishments without/without putting on my glasses.  Also, please give me back the small coloured circles/dots which are much easier to read. The new look was like going back to the dark ages.  The new colour schemes are yetchy, bland and I really miss the exploding green success of complete my 12 hours - the crap that is there now looks exactly like crap.  Sorry everyone but it is just plain boring and no fun at all.  Fitness should be fun!

I don't like this new interface at all! And I never saw an option to accept or go back to the old one which I was perfectly happy with. I went out for a run this morning and when I went to check my progress everything was just different. In a bad way. I want the old interface back!
