Allow Customers to choose between Dashboards

In the latest update of the Fitbit app, the Dashboard that customers interact with daily underwent a huge visual downgrade. It is far less appealing to look at, and harder to quickly see where you are with your daily goals. Please allow Customers to choose their dashboard, similar to how customers can choose their fitbits clock faces. It makes sense to at least allow a choice between the new version and the old version of the dashboard. PLEASE consider this.

To Vote for a choice between the new and old dashboard, go to "Feature Suggestions" - then "Allow customers to choose between dashboards" should be near the top of the list.

Today, Fitbit rolled out a new app design that lists its features rather than displaying them on tiles like before. This change has made user-friendliness of the app plummet, as I can no longer see all of my stats in a single swipe/click. Now, I have to deliberately stop exercising and spend 20+ seconds clicking each listed item to determine my heart rate, my steps, my hourly goals, etc. Similarly, alerts have become a treasure hunt to get to and there is a whole tab for "Workouts" that can't even be accessed in-app.

This change affects the aesthetic, too, as the font is ugly and far less pleasing than the previous font. The logos are less visually appealing. Combining group challenges and walking trails with health stats on the front page, too, is overwhelming to the eyes and creates clutter.

Please reconsider this "improvement"!

I switched to the new dashboard on the iPhone this morning -- and I don't think a single thing is better about it.   The type is too small-- I have trouble making out the digits tallying the distance I've walked -- and the  little circle showing how many individual hours you've walked is tiny and confusing --  nowhere as nice as that big arc that changed to electric green when you walked in every hour on the chart.

I guess I'm glad that I was finally able to get rid of all the tiles i didn't use (weight, water) and just keep steps,  sleep, and hours of activity,  but was highly disappointed that clearing away those tiles left me not with a better view of the remaining measurements, but a markedly worse one.

Please bring back the option to switch back to the old dashboard that was under Advanced Settings. I switched to the new "sleek" dashboard and it's not as insightful with the info the old dashboard used to have. I'm very, very, very, very disappointed in the new dashboard. Please consider for new updates. thanks.

I am not impressed with the new interface for iPhone. I decided to take a chance and update and I am regretting it. Before, I could see my heart rate and days exercised without scrolling. Now I can’t. The letters were bigger; now they’re annoyingly small. Colors were brighter, more appealing and now everything is drab. What I can’t understand is, why not offer people a tryout or a way to revert? Now I’m stuck with this interface I can’t stand.

Hello! I am crying inside about the update to the app. Would there be a way to set it up so that customers can choose the layout (wether they want the last one where the items are in a box formate rather than a list)? It helped me see everything and my goals better. Thanks for looking!

I have been "making do" with the short falls of the fitbit app for 2 years , Now we have a "face lift" why could they not spend the time making it work properly instead of screwing it up completely with the update (July 2019),

My suggestion is that a roll back option is made available  to reverse this atrocity .

I dislike the new mobile dashboard layout. It's not as aesthetically pleasing as the previous layout nor as intuitive. I don't like the list layout and think tiles were easier to navigate in the previous layout. I miss the green circles when I hit a daily goal. I also dislike how prominently my weight is displayed.

Hi, may I give feedback on the new dashboard design? I really miss the sophistication of the older one. The new one almost feels dumbed down and I find myself being less satisfied by the Fitbit product because of it. I know this is subconscious and that the functionality is still there, but I thought if I’m feeling this after really giving it a good try for the last few weeks you may be finding other users are just subtly finding this and disengaging a little without even registering why.

When the new sleep feature came in just now. Instead of being excited by it, I found myself frustrated because now my graphs were demoted to down the page. I do want good indicators like you’re developing for this sleep function. But I equally want details and to be able to do my own analysis.

I spoke to two two other people with Fitbits who also disliked the new basic looking dashboard too. So, I thought I’d give this feedback as I might not be the only user feeling like this.

New interface unmitigated disaster. Need option to use the original interface.

Functionality that was originally there is now missing. I can't configure anything at all. It got my exercise goals wrong. It doesn't give me the weekly summaries I used to see. We need an option to use the old interface. It was much better.

The old style dashboard was “to the point”. Neither my wife nor I like the new look. It appears that more than just us have this feeling. Bring back what was clear and concise.

I bought my charge 3 after seeing friends and family have a positive experience with it. The app in particular was very appealing as it was bright and motivating. After setting up my charge 3 I was surprised to see the app was different, and certainly not as good as I was expecting it to be. This was very disappointing as friends still seem to have the old app, whereas I am stuck with the new app that I am not happy with. There is no reason why there cannot be an option to switch back to the old dashboard. If I had known this update was in place I would not have bought a Fitbit, but rather an Apple Watch.

When I opened my Fitbit app the other day it asked me if I wanted to try a new layout. Without knowing what I was getting into I said yes. The new layout is horrible. To anyone Fitbit owners reading this do not except the new layout. Now my current steps do not actively show on the screen. You have to continually sync the app to show your current steps. Which wears  down your phone battery and probably your Fitbit battery. The old layout would show your current and active steps. Also the new layout you have to scroll up and down to see your goals. Where as before it was later out in block form. A Fitbit customer should be able to go back to an old layout if they are not happy with the new layout. Or better yet why not have several layouts for the customer to choose from.
