Allow Fitbit devices to work on older versions of Android/Apple

I have had the fitbit app installed on my Alcatel Pixi 4 for a year without problem. When the app updated last week it failed to find my charge hr despite restarting my fitbit and reinstalling the app. Apparently my phone is not supported so I would either like it to be properly supported or to have access to an earlier version of the app that worked.

I would like to suggest that you consider backward compatibility of your Fitbit app for the android OS, as both android and Fitbit are now owned by Google surely you should think of the millions of customers worldwide who are having problems with this latest app upgrade. You could at least consider leaving the old app for those who can't upgrade!

I noticed a similar idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestion board, so I’ve moved your post here. Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.

So, I'm suggesting that Fitbit can optimize their app to work on phones with older Phone OS' (OS' older than Apple IOS 14 and Android 10). For example, I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime that uses Android 7.0, and the new Fitbit I bought today isn't compatible with it. So, my idea would be to have phones like mine be compatible Fitbits.
