Allow Spotify offline on Versa series and Sense

After long time Fitbit released a Spotify app for Ionic/Versa (for now only on Versa 2). See this suggestion now marked as solved.

However this app does not allow to download music for offline listening (for example while working-out).

Hence this new suggestion.

Hi, how can I lodge a complaint with Fitbit for the misleading advertising, as many have pointed out - you've implied that Spotify can be listened to on Sense without needing to take the phone with you. Why else would anyone want a wearable with on board GPS?

it's about 2 years later: any update on this?   this would be so much easier if Fitbit published a roadmap like other companies. also for some headcount to have a small team set this up and maintain it.  you're marketing team will thank you.

I have decided against a Fitbit device purchase just because of this lacking feature. Would make the watch useless for me half the time because I need my phone anyway. Please Fitbit. implement this and improve your GPS and Bluetooth on the Sense as well. When I tried it it was horrible.

@Fitbit Does someone know in your support team when such a feature (listening to offline music from spotify on fitbit devices) will be possible ?

It works well with Deezer, I guess it should be possible to do it with the swedish company.

This has been a request from the Fitbit users for a number of years. Very clearly from the total lack of any response from Fitbit this is something they are not looking at. I was hoping that having been taken acquired by Google we would start to see a focus on delivering capabilities that it’s customers wanted to see. Obviously my expectations were too high!

Because of this missine features, i am not to buying firbit. What is the point If i need to carry my mobile all the time and just control spotify via fitbit sense. Really dont understand why fitbit senses and other models dont support this must have features. Fit bit you are lossing, lots of customers because of not supporting offline spotify feature.

I have spotify premium accounts and love the collection which spotify have specially indian musics, which is definitely lacking in other streaming like freezer or pandora. I dont think i will ever go to fitbit unless offline spotify features is not available.

HI Fitbit, I would have bought a watch today if you had offline Spotify as this is the only music player I use, so if I can't listen to my music on the watch, there's not much point in me buying it!

For some reason spotify seems to want us to have to carry our phones.
Previously fitbit did not have GPS so we had to carry our phone to map our
progress. Now fitbit has GPS but doesn't have offline storage for spotify
the number one Music app. So we still have to carry our phone, WTF???

Spotify made Pandoa obsolete years ago and Deezer is a joke! Unfortunately
the joke is on us being stuck with a watch that requires a phone to utilize
the only music player that matters, Spotify! Get with it or find my Fitbit
on Marketplace!
Without Spotify, Fitbit is like a Lamborghini with an 8-track player.

How much votes are requored for fitbit team to consider must have missing
features? Already 2 year gone and still counting. I moved to apple watch
finally. Don't want to go any other music streaming just because fitbit
sense dont support and only allow controls volume and music in spotify. Why
should i use fitbit to control spotify music when i have spotify app in
mobile?

I personally have spent a lot of time building
playists in Spotify (many geared toward workouts) and ALL my friends track
each other on Spotify. It's where the action is! The only people I know
still using Pandora are tech challenged folks that resist learning a new
and better platform. Is that the demographic you're going after? 👌
PS, I live in Chicago and should be entitled to vote at least twice 🤪

Yup I agree Fitbit prefers to add new unimportant features rather than fixing or addressing issues raised by their users. Spotify offline and on demand SpO2 is a feature that will make existing products competes directly with the likes of garmin and affordable watches such as xiaomi and huawei.

yes, they just released "detect snoring and other loud noises" and for
that, you need to be part of a Premium subscription at $10 per month or $80
per year.

Crazy how this hasn't been addressed in over 4 years. Can not recommend the watch until this feature is available.

We should have the ability to load Spotify music and podcasts including playlists onto the music supporting Fitbits, as well as Pandora playlists. We have Deezer music and playlists available but Deezer isn’t as widely of a used platform like Pandora and Spotify. We need the ability to leave our phones behind and play our Spotify music freely.

Please add Spotify offline music. Seems like a no-brainer. I will probably return my Sense unless this feature is on the horizon soon-ish--I don't want to shell out another 120 dollars a year for a Deezer subscription when I could just buy a different watch.
