Allow all possible cards in Google Wallet on Ace LTE

Please allow all possible cards to be added to Google Wallet on the Ace LTE, not just GoHenry and Greenlight.
"All possible" means the same set of cards that work with Google Wallet on say a Pixel Watch or phone.
There are many other child-oriented cards and cases where parents may want to add non child-oriented cards.

+1 to this feature. I find it disappointing that the watch is limiting the debit cards to subscription-only features to juice some more monthly dollar out. Especially given that obviously Google and Fitbit have all the tech and bank integrations available on Google wallet and adults Fitbit.

So to be specific. My kids already have their own physical debit cards that I manage through my banking app. I already use that to set limits and monitor their expenses. I want to be able to add those cards and  don't want to be forced into a new app / banking ecosystem.

This feature announced today seems relevant but does not appear to have anything to do with the Ace LTE unfortunately:

Agreed I am spending 120$ on an acorns card a year so my kid can use the wallet on his device. Chase doesn't charge parents any money for the chase kids accounts.

I agree 100%.  I began using this feature by setting up an account with Greenlight, and immediately ran into problems with this company.  Their customer service is horrible and unbending to the point that I definitely don't trust them holding my money.  With all of the Google Wallet accessable financial institutions out there, there has to be plenty of better options.  Stay away from Greenlight!!

+1 This is definitely needed to add cards that my kids already have instead of having to get a subscription service to let them spend money

Yes!  There are so many fee-free options. The two available options have relatively high fees considering many kids’ bank accounts don’t have a large balance.

Ditto, was excited to check the Google Wallet option on Fitbit Ace and then disappointed to see only fee-based card options. Was expecting something like a phone's Google Wallet, where we can add an arbitrary card.

I also think this a bit of false advertising as it states "tap to pay NFC". Not tap to pay NFC if you pay a monthly fee.

I agree and would like to see other options that don't require a bank account - no clue why Google is choosing to lock this down. I would also like to see regular google wallet so we can add a transit card to the watch

This cash-grab google wallet restriction definitely needs to be removed on the Ace.   There may even be an FTC issue because of the way that Google is trying to silo parents into only 2 pay-to-use wallet options?    We parents should be able to setup and use any card that works w/ Google Wallet just as we can do currently on any phone.   If Google wants to keep and promote the subscription services that's fine, but give us the added option of using any card / bank we choose.

+1 Kids don't have deep pockets & should not be charged a subscription fee in order to use NFC payments. Apple Watch & Apple Cash Family don't require a third party service or charge additional fees.
