Allow multiple Fitbit devices of the same model on one account

I would love to have the app allow for multiple fitbits, of the same model, to be synced to the account.

Dear All who may be posting to the MDD2018 regarding the same account.
I am not a FITBIT employee but rather a customer who is requesting this as
an improvement.
Nothing against you though.,

I am not an employee either. This was a functionality that worked in the earlier models from Fit Bit and has since been discontinued. I feel it is detrimental to users. I use my FitBit regularly and find when I have two Fitbits in the earlier models I could just change them out , while one is charging. However now this is not the case. If I buy another Fitbit it will be to upgrade not use as an alternative.

It is interesting you say this as I have never Had a response from Fitbit. For my Ionic Refund it is now 8 weeks and counting.

Please allow for 2 of the same devices to be used for the same account.  I have one I prefer to use at night when I sleep as the wrist band if more comfortable for sleeping.

As a nurse I second the need for ability to have 2 devices on the fitbit account. I have had a charge 2 and a charge 4 for a while now. Unfortunately when I recently upgraded I now can't have 2 devices on my account. I don't want to sleep with the same watch that is around hospital germs all day long. Please bring back the ability to have multiple devices to the accounts.

I just want 2 second this. I have 2 separate fitbit accounts, one for my versa and one for my charge. One for sports and one for daily life. When my Versa is EoL i will snap back to Garmin for Fitness.

I recently just purchased a pixel watch. I am coming from a charge 5. We know battery with the pixel watch requires it to be charged more frequently. It would make sense that I would be allowed to use my charge 5 at night while I sleep and charging the pixel watch, then in the morning switch to my pixel watch. Last night is an example where the watch died in the middle of the night.

I want to add my vote for this. we should be able to use multple devices on the same account. I like to use my sense  for sleeping and travel and pixel watch for the day and switching accounts is cumbersome, and sometimes pixel watch does not want to reconnect to the fitbit app making me have to restart both the watch and phone routinely to get it to work.

I would love to have a fitbit device that I can have a nice band and use for non-exercise activities like work and walking my dogs and a separate device that I can use for exercise. I find it difficult to swap bands on Versa 2, especially, so once I change, it stays that way for awhile and I don't get to use my nice bands.

I concur. I currently have a Charge 2 and Charge 3. The 2 is by old beater I use working on the house and doing dirty jobs, the 3 was far everything else. But the 3's stopped vibrating ages ago and now the screen is now so faint I can't read it except in a dark room and it isn't the screen brightness setting as that is on 'normal'.

Bought a Charge 5 only to discover it will remove both my existing fitbits ... not good as I have full protection on the beater and yet it is beat, mortar and scaring on band, dings in side and face all the way through the protector. So I considered getting another Charge 5 but research showed I can't have 2 on same account. So considered getting a different model (Sense or Versa) and then research shows can't have two fitbits on one account at all if either is a new model. SERIOUSLY? Isn't the modern world all about having multiple devices and syncing data across them? I don't want 2 accounts as I switch back and forth and want to see my entire day/week/month/year stats.

Too late to return the Charge 5, so it'll sit on a shelf for now as I can't live with just one fitbit ... I may have to buy an older model, used or new, just to survive for now. That is a serious disappointment .... though I just read the new models don't track stairs/flights which would be a major loss for a hiker like myself. In general is seems the downsides for the new models just aren't worth it.

I have an ionic and have heard this over and over. I feel Google/Fitbit do not listen to a customer’s concerns.

"I feel Google/Fitbit do not listen to a customer’s concerns."

This is true for both of these companies. Years ago, I attempted over a period of a couple of years to get Google to fix the bug that moved "van der" from my last name "van der Mude" and make it my middle name (I have no middle name). Manually changing it back was futile.

As for Fitbit, since the start of 2017 I have vociferously objected to their weekly status report as being "chartjunk" (to use Tufte's term) and that they could easily take a pretty useless report and turn it into something useful with a little extra coding and additional configuration. But Fitbit is a black hole as far as customer service goes.

Agreed.  This seems like a feature that many of us would like.  Please take it seriously.  Thanks.
