they bought pebble yet lost a bunch of functionality of it. Its good enough for my wife but i don't think they are going to get a purchase out of me at this time, to many silly things like this. And you can't reject calls on android that is iOS only....lame
I was super excited to get my Versa today. I chose to buy it even though I love my Ionic but I find the Ionic looks like a tether bracelet for parolees. I am a professional and wanted a more professional look on the days I need to be a grown up. I am a tiny woman. As I setup my Versa is when I discovered that I could not easily move between wearing the different devices. This is my 5th Fitbit, plus 2 arias and Fliers. Between the two devices and bands, I am about 750€ in... The answer I was given was to create a second Fitbit account. No. What happens to my Fitbit Coach subscription? Shall I buy 2? No. For developers that you want to create apps for the Fitbit OS, they depend on people buying their app or at least a premium version of it. Am I to buy 2 of those too??? I have also ordered a 2nd Versa in a different color. My devices, and I should be able to wear which ever I find suits my daily needs. I, dear Fitbit am your best customer. Dedicated to my Fitbit when an Apple Watch was an easy option with every new device of yours I have bought. Fix this, now or lose advocates like me that not only purchase every item you make but buy additional devices for those I love, and stop the risk you have of developers deciding the effort isn’t worth not selling to high end users with disposable income for thing like apps for fun.
We need Fitbit to state when this will be resolved to work like all
other trackers, so I can decide to return my 2 Versa’s immediately. If that happens, I will use my Ionic until the new Apple Watch comes out in a few months and say adios to Fitbit forever. Let me know soon.... tick tick tick Of course Fitbit decides to go full Zuckerberg and say NOTHING about resolving a problem you knew existed. You had the opportunity to inform Ionic users about the issue and chose not to tell us and let us buy versa’s. That is deceptive business practices.
For a company who is competing for the market having a Versa and Ionic watch that don't work together in a single app really is bad. You can sync more then 1 Apple watch to a single account and switch watches if you like. I was told I could delete one watch and then add the other or use another account. Hello Fitbit it's 2018?? There are people like myself that are loyal customers, but you don't want our money I guess....
Being able to switch between devices easily is one of the benefits of the ecosystem, what Fitbit is known for. Please continue to support this. I'd like to be able to switch easily between my Ionic and Versa, otherwise, what's the point of having both? Wouldn't you like your customers to be able to easily have both? Doesn't that help sell your product to existing users? Think about it.
I hope they are because I would love that, I am wondering if I should return the versa as right now it is no good to me I don't want to get rid of the ionic ad I love it
I have not received any official word from Fitbit that our concerns will be addressed.
Unfortunately, I was forced to return my Versa after pre-ordering it and getting excited because I refused to de-activate my Ionic after paying $299 for it only 6 months ago.
At the least Fitbit could communicate with the consumer and verbalize as if this is something they are working on or can even do. There are a lot of disappointed people right now. Simple communication is the key....This is how you lose more sales by saying nothing....
I'm completely stunned by this. I had two Pebbles, an original and a a Pebble Time Round for everyday. No problems. My spouse and I bought Ionics and waited out the OS issues and updates. Then, we just ordered Versas, too. We want the Ionic for working out, etc... And the Versas for work/dress.
I was able to install it on my Samsung Note8 with no problems (see pic). Then I practically pulled my hair out trying to install the other Versa on a Samsung S8 which has the other Ionic. I emailed support finally and heard the info this morning about not being to have both... Even though I do have both on my Note 8.
This is seriously ridiculous and very, very bad for sales. Why in the world wouldn't Fitbit want people to own multiple products? Please, Fitbit, we're all pulling for you but you need to step up. None of us Pebble owners ever got the promised discount and now this... Please get it together. I really don't want to return the Versa, but I'm not going to install it every time.
I bought the Versa to be a cheaper watch I could wear when doing things that make me sweat, since I did not want to do that with the nice leather band (and the bands are not easy or pleasant to change) on my Fitbit Ionic. I thought both would sync to the same account (the way Fitbit's other bands do) so I could track my stats in the app. Unfortunately, you have to uninstall the Ionic on the app to install the Versa, and then if you want to wear the Ionic you have to uninstall the Versa and set up the Ionic again. This is really dumb and defeats the whole purpose of having more than one tracker (and I would think Fitbit would want us to buy as many trackers as possible). I am going to have to return the Versa because of this. What a shame. I hope they get this fixed soon.
Please hear us Fitbit and fix this issue!!! I am a very loyal customer who has purchased numerous products! I LOVED that I could
have several and always switch back and forth. The surge was ugly but had great features. I would switch to it to run and work out. Then wear my Apple Watch and my Flex at the same for daily wear. Then bought the Alta to wear with my Apple Watch because it had great features. When the ionic came out I was thrilled but it’s still big and bulky and not great for “dressier” wear. I gave up my Apple because I love the way Fitbit tracks sleep, steps and everything else! I was excited about the Versa and was absolutely going to purchase it for my daily wear and keep the ionic for mainly runs with the GPS. I do not run with my phone. This is a HUGE disappointment!! WHY on earth would you limit this and limit sales to those who WANT this new one and JUST purchased the Ionic but are willing to buy and keep both?! An explanation as to why would be great and above all FIX THE ISSUE!!

Totally agree that Fitbit should allow users to swap between Ionic and Versa without any setup changes. I wasn't aware of this issue when I bought the versa. It is an utter disappointment. Fitbit please do something about it ASAP. This issue with ionic and versa is totally unacceptable. Thanks
This issue is stopping me from purchasing a Versa. I have an Ionic and Blaze at this time, but wanted to replace the blaze with a Versa, I will wait to buy a versa until this is resolved. That is a painful process to have to go through the setup to swap trackers, hoping they get this taken care of.
That was my plans exactly but was forced to return the Versa that I pre-ordered after Fitbit confirmed that I had to choose either the Ionic or Versa but couldn’t use both.
I am very disappointed about this. Just set up my new Versa and realized I had to take off the ionic. I loved using my ionic for hiking walking and the gps but it felt so big to wear on my small wrist all day. So my plan was to wear the versa for daily wear and my ionic for workouts. I guess I'll be returning the Versa. I feel this should have been made clear somewhere before buying.
This is exactly My business case! Love my Ionic but it’s like a parolee ankle bracelet and I wanted something a bit more business looking. I too am a small woman and planned to use the Versa’s and Ionic in the same way as you. Considering Fitbit knows who registered users of Ionic are, they could have stated this in the marketing email before We ordered or purchased. I feel it was a bit underhanded. Further, as they know people are very disapppointed and peeved, the least they can do is announce if it will be resolved or not. The silence Fromm fitbit is deafening. -- Sent from Gmail Mobile
Yes; a couple of weeks have passed and Fitbit’s only “solution” which is a burden and not acceptable is removing and adding back and forth every time you switch between the Ionic & Versa and having to re-do your settings, notifications & I assume Fitbit Pay & Music.
Still waiting for a real solution that will make the two watches interchangeable like all other Fitbit products!!!
I would take this note from customer support with a grain of salt. They often don't have clarity into the actual roadmaps and/or development plans, and given the lack of an official response in the forums, on the site, or via social media, I'm not holding my breath. Given the relatively open HealthKit ecosystem, I'm exploring Garmin's trackers to replace my Alta HR, and then hybrid watches and/or the Apple Watch as well.
