Fitbit has been silent for months. One of the main benefits of Fitbit was the ability to have multiple devices and switch at will. Now a struggling Company only wants you to choose only 1 of their 3 new devices? Puzzling
My timeline is 12/31/2018....to return the Versa and keep the charge 3. I think that an upgrade app will keep everyone happy with all devices! Also, is the smart business oriented decision for Fitbit
Note: The consumer that is ok with one device..will go for the Apple Watch..even if they love Fitbit.
Thanks for the responses. Glad I'm not the only on that hopes Fitbit will fix this issue. I also have an apple watch and just got the 4 (it is awesome!) But it still doesn't track sleep well. So I use the fit bit. I have an HR, and Ionic and just wanted to try out the Charger 3. I want to be able to turn the silent alarms on and off from the device which the alta hr wont let you do, but i dont necessarily need color so I wanted to try the charge 3.
Fitbit: please help out those who enjoy your products.
Sidenote: the Oura Ring also tracks your sleep. It also tracks HRV and and temperature. It's not so great as a tracker though.
Still can't and Fitbit obviously doesn't care. It should just be baseline to all trackers to sync to account. Just common sense. I'm so upset, that I have to keep replacing mine with the other.
Return the three while you can the rest of us were not able to, been waiting eight months with no response from Fitbit on any action on their part to fix this situation.
It would be nice to be able to have the Ionic, Versa, and Charge 3 on the same account. Having spent over $500.00 on these devices it would be nice to be able to use them without having to set them up as a new device every time I want to change.
Thank you for considering this. I hope it’s being considered very seriously. I used to have my blaze for work and my Ionic for everything else. My blaze finally dies and I wanted something better. So I bought the Versa thinking it would be great to have both of these watches on my account. Not so. I can switch them but it’s a pain for my Deezer account and the notifications have to be set up every time. It’s soo annoying. I hope this can get fixed soon. Please please do this.
When I bought my second FitBit smartwatch, Versa, I understood from Fitbit that the account supported two simultaneous devices, I was stunned when it does not. Can you update the app to allow an Ionic and a Versa to be on the one Fitbit account. Sooner rather than later would be ideal.
I noticed comments about having the Ionic and Versa on the same account started back in April. I bought the Chatge 3 in October when it first came out, my first Fitbit, and then the Versa in November. I would like to use both on the same day for different activities but as mentioned by everyone else would have to reset up the second one with the time and hassle of doing so. I definitely vote for having both my Charge 3 and Versa on the same account so all I have to do is put one or the other on to use it.
Versa owner, who just purchased a Charge 3 to replace my Charge 2. Very surprised to learn that I cannot replace my Charge 2 with a Charge 3 under my account. It was very nice to be able to wear either to allow for charging. Unless a family member is interested in a new Charge 3, I am now forced to return the Charge 3. This information should have been very clear in the product description. Not your best move Fitbit!
Just received a versa for the Holidays, but didn't realize that I can't switch from one my iconic to the Versa. Is this something that will change? If not, am having my husband return the watch.
Just like everyone else here I would like to have both my Ionic and Versa on the same account. My reason is the band on the Versa is a real pain to change! I used to swap out my Ionic band daily. I don’t want to sweat up my good cloth and leather bands. I think the band design on the Versa could be a lot easier to swap out. I could use the Ionic for sweat sessions and save the hassle of swapping bands on the Versa. Please add the ability to have both on my account!
I have both Versa and Charge 3. So disappointed to find out that both cannot co-exist in the same account. The switching part takes up so much time - at least 30 minutes.
Either watch is gonna be a white elephant if Fitbit does not do anything about this so please allow this to happen! Thanks!
I agree very much. I bought the charge 3 and then received an ionic for Christmas. I love both devices. I work in a warehouse so I like wearing the smaller charge 3 to work. But the ionic is more practical for everything else. If I could sync both to one account that would be amazing and convenient. The developers should really add this on to the app. You can already add your kids ace on to one account. Why not 2 adults?
I can understand not allowing 2 of the same device on an account, especially given how liberal your replacement policy is. However, not allowing me to have an Ionic and Versa on the same account is just dumb. As a result, I will be returning the Versa I received for Christmas and Fitbit will have lost a sale. Help me understand how this makes sense for your business.
Fitbit is struggling to keep its stock at $5/share and after releasing (3) new phenomenal products (Ionic, Versa & Charge 3) forces its loyal clients to only choose one of the 3 instead of encouraging them to buy and use all 3 as needed like could be done previously with the Flex, Alta, Charge & Blaze.
An absolutely **ahem**ic decision that is costing them extremely valuable sales and causing long time loyal clients to return Fitbit devices that they just purchased or received as a gift (I have the Ionic but returned the Versa & Charge 3).
Even more troubling is that with Fitbit’s silence regarding this issue, several loyal Fitbit users on this forum have already switched to Apple, Samsung & Garmin due to Fitbit’s silence for months and perceived lack of care to address this problem.
Yep, I ended up leaving Fitbit all together and now have a Samsung. Returned the Versa when it came out because I wanted to switch it out with the Ionic. Then waited for the Charge 3 but since I can't switch them out and with no response from Fitbit, I went elsewhere. It is a shame because I have a drawer full of Fitbits. They don't seem to care about loyal customers.
Ugh!!! I’m very disappointed after buying the Versa today and thinking that I could quickly switch between the ionic and the versa when I wanted something more dressier for work and then putting the ionic on when I was doing heavier intensive stuff at the gym! I’m quite disappointed in this and makes me wonder why I keep sticking around with Fitbit when I could have multiple trackers attached to my account. I even like putting on the smaller trackers for sleep. Quite disappointing since this thread was started in April and a new release was just recently put out. I guess this is the typical way Fitbit does things now!

Oh and a guy at my local Best Buy store who was a representative of Fitbit took notice I was wearing the ionic and I mentioned why I was also getting a versa made no mention of this! I guess shame on me now not knowing what I should do!
