Allow multiple devices on the same account (Sense/Versa series, Inspire, Charge & Luxe)

Be allowed to have both a Fitbit Versa and a Fitbit Ionic on the same account so you can easily switch between them.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. Most of us in this forum have been waiting for years. The only thing we get is that it’s “Under Consideration”. I doubt it really is. Good luck.

I don't think we care. It is not only the absence of a fix. They have just
been ignoring us for years with not even a formal answer. I am moving to
the G brand

@Fitbit ...... is it too much to ask for some kind of update on the status? ETA? or anything other than the 'under consideration' blanket statement that has been the only message given to the hundreds (maybe thousands or more) of customers that have been waiting for years?

The Charge 5 looks like a compelling product but I am reluctant to continue supporting a company that demonstrates such a complete lack of care for its customers. Giving customers clear information or a more definitive reply is really not asking for much.

Any updates?

I'm about to return my second Fitbit.

All we get is "under consideration" and that's for years now. I am looking for a device from some other vendor instead of Fitbit. I have not gotten a newer one since my Charge 3 because of this problem, so it'll be "bye bye, Fitbit," for me very soon.

I've had fitbits for years, beginning with the original Fit ---- I loved that little tracker.  I have a leather band on my Inspire 2 which I wear around during the day at my desk due to its smaller profile and it doesn't interfere with mousing as much as my Ionic.  When I got my Inspire 2, I didn't know that i couldn't have both devices on the account at once.  I'd like to switch out to my Ionic with it's more water friendly band than to keep re-setting up devices when I want to wear the other.  And it's a real hassle to change out the band on the Inspire 2 before I get in the pool or to take it off all together when I walk the dog in the rain so that the leather band doesn't get messed up.  Can you please solve this problem??????  I really don't want to buy one of those evil Apple watch thingies!!!  I've resisted ALL these years. There has to be some smart programmer on staff!!!!  Come on, already!!!!!

One would think that they would have done it by now if it was easy. I guess they consider the loss of customers less costly than the costs associated with fixing the issue. If multiple devices are important to you, one of the other evil empires is your only option.

Please move this up the consideration list... Those that need continuous monitoring this is essential for backup monitoring while one device is being charged.

I was hoping with Google merger that they could knockout this fitbit app gallery setback. Get this fixed... Sell more devices, people would upgrade devices more often, etc... All equals $$$ for you.

I would love to have 2 Versa 3s or a Versa 3 and Charge 5 to utilize all the new features.

Atleast consider maybe making this a Premium feature, I'd pay the extra $10 a month in order to have 2 or more devices that use the fitbit app gallery... That's even more $$$$.

Can I click vote 100 more times?

I won’t buy another Fitbit until this issue is resolved. What’s the issue? Can someone explain why this is so complicated?

I have reached the same conclusion. I have started looking for a tracker made by a different maker. There are a bunch to select from and some have equal or more features than the same price at Fitbit.

Fitbit, you are losing customers, but then, you have shown you don't really care about us by your response to this issue.

That question has been asked in this forum for years with no response from Fitbit. I doubt it will ever be resolved. It is not a priority, obviously.

I would like to be able to connect multiple Fitbit devices to one account so that I can wear one watch during the day (like the Sense) and put on a smaller tracker (like the Inspire or Luxe) when I'm doing activities like rock climbing or skating where I'm scared to scratch or damage my more expensive device.

Hi @climber_girl_, thanks for sharing this suggestion about being able to connect a smartwatch and tracker into the same Fitbit account with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here as this will help us to make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote. We appreciate your feedback and we'll keep tracking this request over time, so please click on the thumbs-up to show your support.

Hi @LizzyFitbit.  You say you’ll keep tracking this request over time but you’ve been tracking this forever and nothing has changed.  I’m a LONG TIME Fitbit user.  I started with the first Fitbit EVER and have been a nonstop user ever since so I’m very discouraged at how your most loyal and longtime users are being ignored.  It’s really sad.

I completely agree!! This should have been fixed years ago!

I'm set to get some new Fitbit devices as soon as this is fixed!  But yes, it has been a long time in "under consideration" status.

The thing that annoys me most about this issue is that FitBit has been trying to "drag us along" by saying that they are looking into it. For so many years this is utter BS! If you don't want to implement the feature then have the stones to just say that. You would have more respect from people if you just took a stance! From a software engineering standpoint this is not an extremely difficult issue. It may take a while to implement and require some backend DB changes, but it is not at all insurmountable.  This is a business decision and if the decision has been made (which it seems quite obvious it has after several years of this topic being open) just let us know. You damage relationships more by not giving an answer to a topic this old!

Hey everyone, I was very upset about this too and still don't know why it hasn't been implemented. BUT I want to say I now switch easily between my Versa 2 and Luxe. It takes less than a minute. You don't need to enter the wifi for the Versa 2.  Seriously, just add a device and it takes about 30 seconds to have it connected..MUCH quicker than it used to be.

This is just a band aid for an issue that people are asking for.  I have multiple devices, but adding and subtracting a device each time is a pain.   The fact that this is “under consideration” is a joke.  I have had reached out to the top, no response and had posts stating this removed.  As someone said yesterday, this shouldn’t be difficult.   If FitBit would respond with an eta or information with what progress is being made, this thread wouldn’t be 75 pages long.   FitBit you are losing customers.  Please have someone who has some knowledge about this respond to all of us. Tell us it has a timeline, or tell us it isn’t happening.  We just want an answer.

Yes - that is what I do.
I have multiple Versa’s which I think are great. Also use multiple Emails

I don’t use multiple emails because I want everything on one account.
Allaregone, I understand your feelings and it’s very frustrating that Fitbit ignores the questions and doesn’t provide updates. However I think  what you call a Band-Aid is more than that.  it’s very easy for me to switch and it solves the problem of Fitbit having to figure out which device you’re using. Back in the day before the smart watches you could have multiple Fitbits on your account but even after syncing and switching sometimes they would get confused. Yes that would be a whole new problem thread!

Hill Runner - I see where you are going with this, but for me to switch between my surge and my sense takes up to 5 min and I have to reset the parameters I have been using.  That is a problem.  On top of this, I have a One that I use when I wear regular watches.  This is slowly dying.  The "replacement" also uses apps and I cannot take the time to keep switching the devices on my phone.  Yes, there are issues with having the One and the Sense at the same time, but not there used to be.  The fact that FitBit has left everyone in the dark on what is going on, refuses to respond with any info, deletes posts, and has president who will/does not respond (or have someone respond) to emails shows that they don't care about the community that built them.   If this is something they cannot fix, tell us, if it is something they can fix, give us an ETA.  That is what we are looking for.

Please figure out how to seamlessly switch between 2 fitbits on the Fitbit app under a single account. I want to wear my Charge 4 in more extreme sports (mtn biking, trail running, etc) and the expensive Sense for daily use... but you currently can't have both on the app with seamless stats, really disappointing.
