I think think it would be great to be able to have two trackers of the same type tied to one account. I had a tracker's battery die unexpectedly (no notification email) and had to switch back to the old tracker in order to workout. It would just be easier/nicer to be able to switch back and forth. Especially if one has multiple colors.
It needs to be possible to use two Fitbit HRs on the same account. I want to have one charged to change into or to coordinate with clothing and wearing another. I bought another one not realizing that this isn't possible. Now I have to return it. Hey have different IDs. Why isn't that possible?
Please, please provide a status update as to when we may see the functionality of linking 2+ of the same model. I, too, bought a second Charge HR for color variation and now it looks like I'll be returning it if linking both to my account is impossible. I'm not going to continuously "replace" the same model in the app and reconfigure over and over just to have another color option. Like another poster, I love the HR tracking, but find the Surge to be too large for my taste (the new Blaze seems large as well, and you don't have it in tangerine anyway).
Yes. After three pages of the same request, one would expect to hear something from Fitbit. It's disappointing to say the least that no one has said it's in the works or even that it's not going to happen.
Looking forward to this feature! fitbit replaced my HR after the band started peeling off, it still works and I'd like to use it as my 'dirty work' tracker and keep my new one in good condition.
I have 2 different colored charge hrs and would like to switch between them and be able to sync them both on the same account without removing one when changing to the other device.
I am seriously considering purchasing two charge HRs. One for myself, and one for my son.
It would be great to monitor both on the same app. I want to be able to monitor my son for his heartrate during seizures and before I purchase two units I need to know this will be something I can do.
Chickinpic - currently you (sadly) cannot put 2 of the *same* trackers on one account / same app. So many people are requesting this feature (because it's a no-brainer), but so far Fitbit has not implemented it.

Decaturmamaof2- thank you for letting me know this has not been fixed yet. I do hope they get it together soon. It would be such a great addition to the account.
I don't think you will ever be able to see two trackers on the same account simultaneously.. There would be no way of differentiating which tracker the steps came from if you are both active at the same time and no way of viewing both sets of data..
What we are asking for is two linked to the same account but only using one at a time..
Fitbit - come on..... you have LOYAL, RAVING FANS - release the ability to have two of the same model trackers on one account. This is the age of fashion fitness - please reply to let us know this is a top priority to you and when we can expect the software release!
The Fitbit app should be updated to allow you to have 2 of the same tracker. It now allows multiple trackers, as long as they are not the same tracker. I use 2 Charge HR trackers. One for work and one for home. I switch trackers frequently, and must remove the old tracker when I install the other tracker. If the app would allow 2 of the same tracker, I could simply switch them, placing the current one on the charger, and the other one on my wrist.
I'm in the same boat as everyone else here. I'm really frustrated that Fitbit does not allow two of the same device on one account. I might not always want to wear the black one, or want to be able to leave it charging and not have to remain inactive during that time without losing the steps.
This cannot be difficult to add an option to "Add additional Fitbit Charge HR" next to the "Replace old Fitbit Charge HR" during the setup process. Come on Fitbit, make it easier for people to do these things and your sales will likely increase!
Just submitted this idea as suggested by the online help. It seems it has been tossed around for a while based on the date on this thread. Hopefully they can make it happen soon!
Did the FitBit marketing department and techno folks not think this through? Which is better for sales (and stock price), one Charge HR device to an account or two (three, four, five)?
Business 101, people. Make your software tweaks and get this fixed!
Yes, I would love to have 2 Charge HRs on one account! I would purchase multiple colors!! This can't be too difficult for Fitbit, plus they would make more money!!!
I would love to be able to sync two Surge's to my account since in order to have a different color you have to buy a whole new tracker. It's pretty frustrating to have $500 in trackers and not be able to conveniently switch back and forth.
Come on Fitbit - I have two HR Charges (different colors) and would really like to be able to use them both. I am not interested in your other models but would definitely purchase other colors of the charge if you would update the capabilities of switching between two like fitbits. Many posts prove this would be a win win for your customers and a financial win for Fitbit. Please listen to your loyal customers.
