I would like to sync both the versa and the charge 3 as well , otherwise I'll return one of them rather than go through the set up process repeatedly.
That's one reason i bought the versa because it was advertised that one could have multiple fitbit devices on one account and they would pair easily when needed.
Since the Versa and Charge 3 are both considered smart watches they cannot be active on the same account at the same time. On the days I want to wear the Versa I’ll pair it to the Fitbit app. On the days I want to wear the Charge 3 I’ll pair it to the app. Using this method will capture all data from both devices on one dashboard. It takes less than one minute to pair once the initial set up is complete.
Alternately you could create an account for each device in the same app but that method will not combine data.
Is there any Chance Fitbit you will set up the app so you can have both a Versa & Charge 3 on your account at the same time? Had a known you could have only 1 at a time connected in your account, I would have never brought the other one. Note you state you can have more than one device on your account at a time. Only after I bought the Versa did I learn about the restrictions of these 2 devices.
Just as a matter of interest, how many Apple watches can you have paired at the same time? Reason I ask is I have a Series 4 and was thinking of getting another for my other wrist.
According to the guide, it says you can pair more than one Apple Watch with the phone but it doesn’t say if the there is a limit to how many. It just says you pair multiple Apple Watches at the same time.
Hi @mikec122, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, this feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is under consideration.
I understand that you can't have two of the same devices connected to one account at the same time. I also knew that you couldn't have an Ionic & Versa connected to one account at the same time. I had NO idea that you couldn't have a Charge 3 & a Versa connected to the same account at the same time. I love my Versa. I started with an Alta HR. I liked it but decided to get the Charge 2. I also liked that. Each had things I liked & disliked about them I alternated between them with no problems. I then got a Versa. The Versa won me over. More comfortable and even though it was larger, I preferred it. I decided to sell the others. When I saw the Charge 3, I wanted to try it. I finally decided to go ahead and order one. It arrived today. While setting it up, I realized that it removed my Versa. I was extremely upset because I had no idea it was going to do that. I like the size of the Charge 3 and it feels more comfortable than the Charge 2 did. I don't want to send the Charge 3 back and I don't want to sell my Versa. So now I have to figure out how I can switch between them.
Fitbit, PLEASE, PLEASE allow us to be able to both the Charge 3 & Versa to the same account. Or even 2 of the same type of Fitbit. Originally the Versa I purchased was the silver/gray. I liked it but kept wanting the rose gold/peach. I purchased the rose gold/peach and was disappointed that I couldn't easily switch between them. I know I can change bands and I do have a bunch of them. But the silver & rose gold are different and look different depending on the band. It would be nice to have that option. I gave the silver/gray Versa to my husband. Now I have the Charge 3 and I went with the graphite/white. Totally different look than the rose gold Versa. Now I have to find a way to switch between them that does't take forever. I'll have to see what happens after I wear the Charge 3 for a while. I really don't understand why you can't have them both connected. Someone said it was because it's a smart watch. I don't consider the Charge 3 a smart watch.
I'm in the same boat. I actually love the Versa - but hate having to change the bands. I love the ease of the HR Charge 3 - not being able to use them interchangeably is extremely disappointing. I've had a Fitbit from the beginning - but, I think these will be my last.
So disappointed. I have a Blaze, Versa and Charge 3. I probably will return the Charge 3 if it cannot be synced on the same app account as the other two. I like each of them for different reasons, but like the Charge the least. I’d definitely keep if it synced with the others. I like that the Blaze and Versa sync and that I can wear one while the other is charging and still get the data synced together.
Thank you very much indeed for your next unsatisfactory reply.
I already stated my wishes and you assured me you raised a ticket in order to make Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Charge 3 work with one account. I used to have using the Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Charge 2 under the same account and I was very satisfied. Then I purchased the Fitbit Charge 3 (a better tracker than Charge 2) but you took away the possibility to use the two Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Charge 3 work with one account.
Unacceptable!
You owe me a solution or 350 EUR.
Please do not send me messages I do not want to hear.
You know exactly what I want to hear - please, give me my rights to use Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Charge 3 with one account.
I am out of patience yet. It's been over a month now...
Fitbit. Just so you know your competition Garmin allows you to have 5 heart monitors on 1 account. Guess what I did? I'll tell you, took back the Versa and bought 2 Garmins. You lost a customer with this ridiculous restraint on your app. If Gamin can do it why can't you?
PLease please please add the ability to sync more than one watch OS device at a time. Love the versa but I want to be able to switch to a charge 3 sometimes.
Please enable simultaneous addition of Versa and Charge 3. As a long time user of your products I’ve bought into the ecosystem (Versa, blaze, Aria 2) and part of the experience is seamless integration across devices. Now I’ve bought a charge 3 to replace the blaze and not being able to add it is a real headache 🤕
I felt the same way for the past 6 months so I gave in and switched to Apple Watch and Under Armour Record App which allowed me to use both. Now I'm happy and going strong,
I too chose to purchase the Versa and use it on the same account as the Ionic. I didn't realise when purchasing the Versa that there is no GPS within the watch, unlike the Ionic. Then I found you can't have the Ionic and the Versa on the same account. It allowed the switch, which took a few minutes, but reset back to default settings like notifications and run cues, which was a pain. However now my Ionic won't switch back at all now and I get a com.fitbit.HTTP 429 error. So I'm back to having to take my phone with me on a run for GPS. A very large step backwards for FitBit in my opinion.
I believe FitBit should allow any/all devices on the same account. I'm a huge FitBit fan and have had many different trackers and really don't want to have to find an alternative. Please look to fixing this as soon as possible. Thanks.
One of the moderators commented that you can switch between Charge 3 and Versa without any loss of data. While this true of the exercise data, this is not true of settings for the watch you are switching from. I like my Versa for daily use but prefer my Charge 3 for certain workouts due to it's smaller size (if I bend my wrist I tend to pause my workouts on the Versa) and for nicer outfits since it looks a bit nicer. I have to reset which apps I get notifications from and such every time I switch between watches.
I can understand the complexity of developing the ability to have both of these watches active at the same time, but in the meantime, can we at least store an inactive profile for the watch so that notifications settings are not lost? Since I have to wait for these apps to trigger notifications before setting them I feel as if I am forever messing with the notification settings since I am switching between these watches pretty regularly.
Ok still no solution and no warning that you cannot have Versa and Chatge 3 on the same account as I just bought a Charge 3 and was rudely awaken to this fact when I tried to add the device.
Please fix this problem or at least advertise the fact that if you want to swim no multiple watches so some other sucker doesn’t get fleeced.
Months have passed and still no formal response from Fitbit on whether we will be able to enjoy the Versa, Ionic & Charge 3 at the same time like we could do with previous Fitbit devices or the status of Citibank coming to Fitbit Pay????
Dozens of loyal Fitbit clients on this forum have posted that they have abandoned Fitbit for Apple, Samsung or Garmin because of these issues. Fitbit, please wake up and fix these problems or at least give us answers other than it is “under consideration” for months and months!
I was thinking the same thing, Tags24! I’ve been watching this post for a few months, but I see that the original started almost a year ago.
WAKE UP, FITBIT!
Or is your plan to be abandoned???
I have a Blaze, a Versa, and have been gifted with a Charge 3. Would sure like to be able to use all three without the hassles that have been described as “solutions” — Fitbit, would YOU be satisfied with this? Guess so, otherwise you’d be doing more than “considering” the concerns.
In addition to notifications, alarms and exercise shortcuts need to be reset when switching between devices. It would be nice if these also could be stored somehow in an inactive profile.
